Thanks for your reply.
Well I've CPU mined scrypt coins quite profitably for a while at a pool. I could save some time if the multipool searches for fresh coins and does the calculations, that was my intention here in the first place.
But since I'd had to do the BTC trades myself I think I'm gonna save the 3% fee and just mine at 0% single pools as I did before..
If you're CPU mining then have a look at Cryptonote coins like Monero (says me who setup a pool that would like some more miners ) - in fact you can mine them whilst still mining something else with your GPU. The 3% fee at IPOminer covers the cost of someone else doing the research, so in theory if you stick to the multiport you'll get in on decent coin launches. Been a shortage of those recently though.

The BITS port was rerouted to the multiport internally, as we always do Well, now we at least know who MastiffCoin is EDIT: And nice going on solving the last POW block!!! Like the idea of Coin Recycler! lol that should be the big News! ipominer, that was a cool mistake ;-) but on the other Hand....maybe not a bad decision to reveal yourself Of course it could be a cunning double-bluff by Mastiff coin trying to get more credibility? Not sure I'm believing that myself mind you. How about "IPOminer solves lack of worthwhile IPOs by creating one"?

Mastiff must have had a very fair launch with pool owner switching every X11 machine to his own coin (and obviously the pool owner didn't have to wait to get the source and compile it) Next move a botnet owner releasing a cpu only coin... might have already happened though (slimcoin it is called)

I think he's physic as it was pretty profitable. But I DO THINK this wasn't a very cool thing to do. Would the pool have switched to a more profitable coin instead of MAST? IMHO this is a conflict of interest (that by dumb luck worked out well). However, if IpoMiner had just come out and told people upfront I'm sure he would have had support and people would have been willing to take some "additional" risk. But not telling anyone is sort of a violation of trust. Carlo not really sure how I feel about this at this point in time.

One of the ipoMiner support staff that helps us with covering Bitcointalk also works with MastiffCoin, handling their bitcointalk promotion work.
If you look into the blockchain and ipoMiner's own block records, you'll clearly see that ipoMiner did not mine the coin until well after 2 hours past launch. (We typically try to avoid mining coins at launch because many launches fail, forks happen more frequently in the first hour of a coin, etc.)
Additionally, having confidence in a coin because we're familiar with the team that is launching it seems like a great reason to mine it. And just out of curiosity, what was the other option for a good X11 coin to mine this week? The only one that comes to mind was XC, which is clearly a scam (that has admittedly done well, but anyone claiming to implement anonymous transactions in a few days is very questionable).
And, for the record, we try to get in touch with the developers and participate in the community of as many of the coins as we can. It is one of the ways that we try to stay ahead of the competition to try to bring you the most profitable new coins.

Like I previously said it worked out well, but... In the future, please disclose such information. Most people will trust you but it seems like you guys were "hiding facts" from us. If you do this on one coin then how do we know you aren't holding a lot of other coins you want to "dump" and use the pool for help? Not that I think this but we don't want worry about this type of thing either. FULL DISCLOSE PLEASE for any coin you have an affiliation with (in any shape/manner) is all. Carlo PS If you had mentioned the "strong affiliation" and confidence in this coin, you might have gotten even more hash. Just don't give us a reason to think you guys are "sneaky". That is all. Nothing more or less.

We have some sort of affiliation to almost every coin we mine, either pre-existing to our mining the coin, or after we start mining it. As I said, we try to get to know the developers/team behind most of the coins we mine, and participate in their communities while we mine them. I think our performance speaks for itself, and we've been successful thus far so we'll keep doing what we do.
I'm confused about one thing you said though, cayars.. how would having a pool mining a coin help "dump" it? Having a pool mine a coin makes it harder to "dump", as there are more sellers.

We don't usually ask for suggestions, but there haven't been many good recent launches lately, so if you have an X11 or Scrypt coin that you would like to see added, please let us know. Feel free to post here or email us at support@ipominer.com and we'll check it out

You've been amazing so far. My hardware paid for itself in a month just from parking it on your site.
Also, I set your share difficulty levels manually prior to making a machine available for rent. I can then usually make that difficulty level persist while the rig is rented. So when someone points my machine at LTC or a pool that assigns ridiculously high difficulty levels automatically to save bandwidth, that rigs accepted shares remain on par with my advertised hashrate.
You make money for me in many ways and I respect your research, familiarity, and /or vodoo magic that has so far predicted winner after winner. Cheers!

HYPER is linked to one of the people that was involved in Dreamcoin, "Collegestudent" - if you review his post history, it seems *very* sketchy.
