I did say this earlier. Barcelona did not seem to defend well in the 6-yard box. And that has certainly cost them this match in my opinion. Only if they did not concede the penalty. I expected Barcelona to learn from their mistakes and get better but they seemed to make the same mistake that they did in the previous match before the match against Frankfurt.

Anyway, the hot favorites have been removed from the Europa League competition and now I think the competition will get interesting again.

I didn't see any Barcelona in the first half. They were like a weak second league team playing against Frankfurt and trying something desperately. Maybe it was because of their not caring about the Europa League too much I don't know. But I certainly believe that Frankfurt deserved this victory fully. Oh no, football can't be any less surprising. So, Eintracht Frankfurt finally get to beat Fc Barcelona and qualify olunto the next stage. This is so surprising.  Where is the whole Xavi tricks, even I got to believe it and sadly, it is just football playing out. Of a truth, I never would have believed it that, Barcelona would be eliminated today, not to talk of them mot taking the league trophy but as real as it could be, they are out and for good! I hope Eintracht get to give the quality that would have been expected of Barcelona after eliminating them. The most prepared and best team wins right,,, go Eintracht Frankfurt.

The second leg was remarkably similar to the previous meeting, as Barcelona had more of the ball yet Frankfurt had the better chances and more shot attempts. I am not shocked. Frankfurt have the type of football that gives ball possession teams problems, Barcelona got away with it in the first leg. They were very precise and direct with their plan. Barcelona never sow this coming. You don't underrate any team at this stage of such competition. Barcelona was poor even after the second goal against them. They started getting serious after the third goal but by then it was already too late. They did the same thing against Levante and almost drew the match.

Barcelona's defense is weak from the previous season. But with Xavi improving his midfield and forwards, Barcelona's weak defense has not been very visible. But the final will be even more interesting and unpredictable. I think that Leipzig and West Ham will play in the final, although the English are facing a much stronger opponent than Glasgow Rangers. So the goals came indeed, 5 goal epic, and if only the first one we scored counted. Out of the competition, nothing left to play for, I hope we just use this opportunity to see out the season with pride.

Well, it's hard to doubt the quality of Barcelona at the moment especially Frankfurt nor are they a very superior team on the pitch. Frankfurt can't always be as consistent as the first leg and they might be easier to beat in the second leg today considering the match was played at Camp Nou. Barcelona may be able to qualify for the next round, but it might not be easy if Frankfurt really knows how to stop them.

Unfortunately the problems they encountered in the first leg wasn't just a blip, it was a fact. Germans play fast and direct football, physical and vertical, and Barca don't have anything like that in La Liga, and not enough experienced players to deal with it.

I'm really sad today, but not too broken. This wasn't supposed to be a season to win anything. Good luck Frankfurt.

Well the biggest surprise seem to have happened in Europa League as a team with not much history in European competitions just knocked out Barcelona yesterday night and they were even leading 0-3 in Camp Nou,something quite strange for many years in European competitions for Barcelona.I am sorry for Barcelona as it appeared they were in a good run after being managed by Xavi but big congratulations to Eintracht Frankfurt to a well deserved qualification in the next stage of Europa League.

Also I am surprised by Atalanta but not at the same margin as with Barcelona as they also lost at home against another German team of course much better in quality than Frankfurt.

Frankfurt's performance was remarkable. Every attack they made was strong enough. They were able to take advantage of Barcelona's weak defense. Glasgow Rangers played very comfortably against their opponent and they took almost all the shots in the match. Braga fans got a little hopeful after David Carmo's goal, but at the end of the match, Glasgow Rangers scored again and qualified for the next round.
We watched a good match, but the Barcelona match was much more interesting, of course
