Wow, what an embarrassment for Real Madrid last night. I'm glad that the last goal was disallowed, Shakhtar really deserved to win the game. They had multiple chances to end the game earlier.
A really lovely Modrić goal though.

I did not expect such a dominant Bayern performance against Atletico, they don't usually concede goals so easily - but looks as if Bayern is continuing where they stopped last year. Other than that, no real surprises yesterday.

@cryptofrka when I see such a performance by Real Madrid I can’t help but wonder, what would have happened had Zidane given James the chance to shine at Real Madrid?, maybe he could have been the difference in yesterday’s game?. Also Bayern has shown their strength by scoring 4 goals against Atletico, and further they have continued their winning form of last season too, as they have now extended their winning streak to 12 consecutive champion league games.

I think that a lot of people have lost money and some even big money on Real Madrid yesterday.What should have been like an easy secure home win precipitated real bad in the last 15 minutes of the first half by Shakhtar scoring 3 goals in such time.Real tried to fight back in the second half but they were not able to at least equalize.

Well, I love James and am happy he started great at Everton, but Real really has a lot of options in his position and when he did play, it was not that great.
I think what happened to Real yesterday could not have been avoided by changing 1 player - it is a structural thing. They lacked balance and coordination, their team that played Shakhtar was full of stars but it was clear to see it is a team without structure.

They will probably win a lot of games based on their talent alone, but that team does not have a tactical outlook of former/current great teams. It's just a bunch of really good players put together in a single locker room.

Now a few seasons later, Barcelona officially show their troubles and can not be fixed in a matter of season. Real Madrid are facing same problems.

The football world nowadays is always about money and finance games from bosses to players. There is no place for patience and long plans. Klopp has his time to build up his team and won 2 big trophies: champions League and then Premier League but now it is not only their current problems but it is also about the average ages of their squad. I don't think Liverpool can be able to remain as the strongest team in the Premier Leauge more than next 2 or 3 years.

Their key players will get older, and lost their best forms while opponents will figure out methods to restrict Gegen-pressing of Klopp.

yeah, but these are not fans, i do not actually believe that real sport fan can vouch for Real, Barca, PSG, that i why i am fan of Everton, and they are always good for me, this season they are simply great, and if they fail next season and fight for relegation, i would not call them shit, anyway

And that's a wrap for the Champions league games this week. All games went as I expected except for Liverpool's game. I expected more goals in the game. I also anticipated Bayern would win comfortably against Atletico Madrid but 4-0 is a little too much  .  As for Real Madrid, they need to get their A-game back on unless they want to exist the tournament early.

I'm also glad my team (Liverpool) got the away win against Ajax. Not an impressive one but enough to put us on top of group D table just before Atalanta.

To me this is the real group of death. Liverpool no need to say, current champions of world club football. Ajax who reminded everyone what good football can look like two seasons ago. Atalanta with possibly the best attack in Europe now.

Cristiano Ronaldo should still be positive at Covid so theoretically he should not be able to play with Barcelona in the very first challenge for the Champions League but there is still hope according to those of Tuttosport.

According to them, UEFA's protocol in the event of COVID 19 does not explicitly require a double negative swab, the first seven days before the match, and the second on the day of the match, but they talk about medical records.
So if the player is physically well, he trains (alone) and has no symptoms obviously, he should has the possibility to play if the viral load is subsequently negatized.

Group D is definitely one of the group to watch out for. It's an interesting group even though it doesn't have some of Europe's big names except for Liverpool. One thing I know for sure is that, Liverpool might qualify easily. Then it will be up to either Ajax or Atalanta to decide who drops and who progresses to the next stage. Midtjylland is just unfortunate to be in this group. I don't know who would gift them points  

Also don't worry, Barcelona would qualify too. They already have a good headstart thanks to the 5-1 win against    ferencvarous.

I think it qas almost confirmed few days ago that Cristiano will miss the match against Barcelona. It's not breaking news anymore (or I missed). It's sad that we will not see Messi vs CR7, it would certainly be a good one if he was there.

I passed on Bayern vs Atletico and Man City vs. Porto which I'm very glad I did. I wasn't in the mood to place a bet because I lost playing other games prior to that. That surely saved me from more trouble  I don't think I'd mess with Bayern in the group stage. They're just too good right now.

Looking forward for the odds of Barca vs. Juve next.

I was really shocked by the result of the first half. almost the second squad of Shakhtar completely outplayed Real in all respects. With such a game, Real Madrid has nothing to expect in the Champions League, and in Laliga. I thought the game with Cadiz was an accident.

Watching PSG-Man U this evening sad that Pogba will be not in the starting XI

Pogba not starting the match doesnt impact the game negatively and i think it just a way for Ole trying new strategy to see if Alex can actually perform well if giving the chance Pogba had. However, today Manchester United game was awesome and I respected how they were able to defeat PSG at home and I can see they are now topping the table.
Another game i respected was the Juventus game with the absence of Ronaldo which led to some people saying Ibrahimovic impact the club than Ronaldo.

Speaking of the Man United game against the PSG, although Pogba did start the match but I dont think you guys are aware that the just Manchester United broke a new record of winning 10 consecutive away games winning for the first time in their history.

Alright, congratulations for that. Despite Manchester united being an underdogs in the last few seasons i guess since ole take over the job or even since before that? You just misunderstood my statement there mate because alot of clubs have broke records that's far the current record of Manchester United in the Champions League and what I am trying to say that Manchester achieved 10 away game winning records. Mind you, they are not the first time to achieve that but per the club it a record on their logs.

it was a game that I expected real madrid to win, the defense of real madrid was very bad, it looked like they were out of shape. Shakhtar Donetsk's first goal was a great joke I even laugh the way Real Madrid conceded the first goal, but I was shocked to see that it was only another 5 minutes and Shakhtar Donetsk scored the second goal because Raphaël Varane scored one very weird defense. but as if those two events were not very sad came the other goal, which again was a terrible mistake in the defense of real madrid, at that time the game was already decided.

Real tried to fight back in the second half but they were not able to at least equalize.

the problem is in defense and I don’t think Real madrid will win anything this season. I'm a fan of real madrid, but I really doubt that real madrid will be able to be champion of something

My guess was wrong, it's a shame that Madrid lost. Shakhtar played way beyond my predictions, the 3 goals in the first half were incredible. Sergio Ramos' absence due to a knee injury against Cadiz seems to have had a big impact. Madrid are different, they are not confident. Madrid was lucky to score 2 goals in the second half. Maybe if Vinicius had played earlier it would have been different. He played well, he also broke a new record of being the substitute with the fastest goals.
