I bet on Juventus (because i'm Italian guy) and i lost.. is a game.

Pirlo need time to manage clubs like Juventus, I think his decision to accept Juventus offer is bad decision. Gattuso, Seedorf and Inzaghi starting from Milan Primavera, they are also failed managed AC Milan. Gattuso not bad enough but his decision to cut their contracts is a good decision, because i think he is thinking if he doesn't have capability to manage Milan. Pirlo vs Koeman, like Senior and Newbie, this match results not just because Juventus tired but also Koeman have better strategy also better team players.

I think this is the first test for Pirlo as a manager on a big stage like UCL. he hasn't got that experience yet I believe with time and more exposure he will improve on career, just like when Zidane first stinct with Madrid it's left to Juventus management to give more chance to tutor the team.
Barcelona coming into that game after suffering a defeat against Madrid in Laliga will make things difficult for Juventus and to make matter worst Ronaldo is out of the match, fielding Ronaldo will have make a difference.

About giving a time, yes I believe it, maybe next season or few season after he can be a good coach with a lot of throphy. because i believe "practice makes perfect". But, the bad things in my view is, he managed main squad before have enough experience with Juventus U23.

I don't think it's possible for Pirlo to even be fired this season, no matter what happens to Juve in the UCL and even in seria A, the club when they signed Pirlo were aware he's not coming to deliver instant success to Juventus, if they had signed a more established manager, then the case may be a little bit different and there would have been pressure on the manager to deliver immediately.

On a different note, Bayern still looks like favorites again this season, I can't just see the team that can beat them just yet, Flick and his boys could dominate and win this trophy back to back like Zidane did with Real Madrid, except other big teams really improve, especially in the knock out stages, then this scenario could happen. Pep is also under pressure to win the UCL with City this season, he's in his final year of his contract, I think it won't be renewed if he fails again in the UCL this season.

You are right about Zidane. Zizou managed the Real Madrid reserved team and he tried to give opportunities to his children. After years and seasons, Zizou's children did not show their ability to become good players (not say become legendary player as Zizou). They failed to get positions in squads of clubs they are playing for.

All of us were surprised why Pirlo accepted the offer from Juventus board and why Juventus board decided to give him that offer. This season, without trophy, if Pirlo can keep his position, he will already get a first success in his management career.

Right, it's a start and I think the fault isn't just about the coach because the performance of the players has to be taken care of too, just look at other teams with great coaches who are more senior doesn't even look okay. In every match there will always be wins and losses, besides that the absence of CR7 and Alex Sandro also affects the team's performance to play better. In contrast to Barcelona, although Coutinho and Pique don't play but Barcelona have second tier players who are also good in position. With that, this defeat is natural I guess.

CR7 is a key player of Juventus but he is getting older and older. I see drama that CR7 will leave Turin after this season. Pirlo and Juventus need to have plans without the appearance of CR7. Juventus performance (good or bad) is result from their squad, not only from Pirlo or from CR7.

One of the favourites to win the Champions League but I was expecting Juventus and Barcelona to gets there as well as all teams from the Premier League. I wasnt that convinced because lewandowski hasnt score any goal yet after two Champions League game . He scored 15 goals last Champions League so unless he pull the same stunt as last season, Bayern Munich is definitely not the absolute favourite for Champions League

I agree with you, looking at the game, Juve made seven shot on goal but they couldn't score just one goal. Juve's finishing wasn't great that day. Especially if you see the four matches that took place without Ronaldo, they only won once. I think they need Ronaldo right away.

That's was a sad story for Juventus as they lost their today's match against Barcelona and I'm sure Ronaldo won't be happy about the game result.

Yeah, it is a sad day but it must be accepted. But something that I am surprised about the match is no shots on target for Juventus at that match. They totally made 10 shots and no one on target, how bad the performance of the strikers. Yep, Ronaldo mustn't be happy about that, but he cannot do something as he is quarantined and undergoing treatment after the positive test.

It understandable but Juventus not having on target was the reason I think Ronaldo would have make a difference if not for his health status.

No one knows mate. But I am pretty sure that at least they will have shot on target. Ronaldo is a player that knows very well about the Barca defense, so he must do effective efforts to try making goals.

Ronaldo knowing how to handle the Barcelona defense and the rivalry issue between him and Messi was the reason why I ask the question but if Ronaldo is in that match Juventus have a chance to score a single goal.

I think it is natural for big clubs to have difficulty scoring a lot of goals when the executor cannot participate in the match, it will make the team only be able to apply defense because some of his friends are trained according to his expertise, while Ronaldo has been trained as the best executor then there is no other way than to deffend, even though it tried to attract more goals as usual when there ronaldo in match. I hope Ronaldo can recover quickly and participate in the match again.

Man United have long experience in international play against Rb Leipzig like it was very easy for ManUTD yesterday I don't know why Leipzig's performances are so bad they should be stronger which I know in the Bundesliga.
Competing with PSG, of course, will be very difficult where this group phase has only 2 matches left so as much as possible you have to win between PSG and Leipzig if you want to escape one of them.

Juventus has not been playing great for some years in European level. They haven't been great in the serie A this season. And football is not a one man game for Ronaldo to outperform Messi like he did when he was in Real Madrid. It's a team sport and Barcelona at the moment clearly is a stronger team than what Juventus is. Juventus would still qualify for the next round as the second team on the table.

I had BTTS in Man Utd vs RB Leipzig. After the 1st half I thought that Leipzig will continue display like in first half and will score a goal but they totally messed up apart in second half and conceded so many goals. They were UCL semifinalist last season tho.
They sold some good players like T. Werner. It can be a reason too.
We will see it more clear on the matchday 3 next week. Leipzig vs PSG will be a good match to watch.

I wagered on Juventus as well because I saw the odds were too good to pass up plus I imagined not having any president and all that turmoil would have caused Barcelona not to be able to focus on the game itself as well, however it may have backfired and actually made them play better. The odds were too good like 2.8 or so in some places for Juventus and I believed it was good enough to wager and I lost but it was totally worth it.

I was expecting a bit more from Juventus defense, they were too shy and they just tried to play carefully not to get scored and not playmake, usually juventus has a decent passer and aggressive defense, this wasn't that day. Even the red card Demiral got was from 2 wrong moves and not representative of how he played, plus he is a young defender kid who got his first red card, these things will happen.
