Even the Champions League trophy that their players get is more than the big teams in the Premier League, does not reduce my respect for English teams but statements that corner me I think must be answered with the same statement. We cannot deny that Real Madrid is filled with great and experienced players. Even some people think their time is over (senior players at Real Madrid) but they are able to win prestigious trophies.

Real Madrid have a history of great teams in the Champions League and they seem to know what they have to do when they reach the final. The mentality of the Real Madrid players is much stronger than any team in the Champions League, so if they reach the final then the mandatory target is the title.

Real Madrid have only failed 3 times in the final, and that has happened in the past. But every other final after those 3 fail, it seems they can't lose and have to win the title no matter what.

That's right, it seems that when they reach the Finals they will definitely win and this is like a real deal for them
In this case, mentality and experience are indeed involved in the continuation of the results, at least they know about it and they believe in it so it will be difficult to beat a team with this belief.

Real Madrid doesn't get the respect they deserve because they have made winning quite easy. I want to think they are a victim of their own success, people tend to commonize their greatness. It's a shame to see what the English media made of the UEFA Champion's League final though, I understand most people would prefer an English side to have won but there's no way ideally that Liverpool is better than Real Madrid.

For some correction, I meant that great players that are still in their prime or at least close to it. How many of the players that you have mentioned are still young and performing really well on a regular basis?

Real Madrid did not get the respect that they should deserve against PSG. And you all know about the squad that PSG has. I honestly think they also did not get the deserved respect against Manchester City or even Liverpool.

A lot of people thought Real Madrid is just a team with old players. And for most of the players, their prime time is behind them, that is honestly true to some extent.

Liverpool had better possession in the first half, but immediately they had the winning goal frim Vini Junior, they showed their true characters and characteristics as not just old but experienced players. Is Thiago Alacantara really over hype as they say ?
I think he did enough already, just that Real Madrid  have that winning mentality at all times. Will Carlos Ancellotti continue as Real Madrid head Coach ?

Liverpool cannot be said to have failed miserably this season just because they didn't win the Premier League and Champions League. Their failure in these two competitions shouldn't be considered a very bad thing and I think their fans should respect that. Liverpool have tried to be the best in the Premier League, but unfortunately Manchester City couldn't be stopped by Aston Villa in their last game. In the Champions League Liverpool were just unlucky because they couldn't score, it's regrettable but the fans shouldn't think it's been a bad season for Liverpool.

I'm not a Liverpool fan, but I think it's still worth their effort this season especially because they managed to have the chance to win four times over. But unfortunately, the two titles they dreamed of this season had to be lost because other teams were better or luckier than them.

I think that Liverpool did well even though they did not get trophies this season. We can say that Liverpool had a good chance of winning both the English Premier League and also the Champions League and we also can say that they missed some easy chances to gain points in the English Premier League and they could have played better in the Champions League final but after all, I think their overall performance was really good. I think there will perform better in the next season and there will also be more determined to win the Champions League next time.

I really agree with you, Liverpool performance last season was remarkable, they tried as much as possible playing three finals and securing two trophies, and also finishing 2nd in the table, I think it was a successful season for them despite loosing to Realmadrid in the champions league final. Perhaps with their performance last season, I think they are consider one of the best team in Europe and EPL, and with the look of things I think they will perform more better next season.

The deal breaker was Ancelotti set up. Real Madrid did not set up to dominate or over play Liverpool, the game play was to limits Liverpool flying full backs and limit Liverpool creativity and this was done excellently. Then Casemiro was tasked with ball recovery and modric/kroos entrusted with delivery *over 85% ball accuracy on the night). it was a clutch and experienced performance from the Real Madrid team

It's always the same teams that win this tournament lately. An odd duck is actually PSG along with Manchester City. Both have been regarded as one of the best teams in the world for years. Especially when Messi came to PSG. Then they were the top favorites to win the tournament. However, it goes wrong year after year for both teams. Indeed, there are no surprises in the Champions League competition this season. maybe only Villareal became a surprise team but unfortunately Villareal was defeated by Liverpool in the semifinals. I think Real Madrid this season has been phenomenal.  This season Real Madrid is not so seeded, many people are pessimistic.  But thanks to Carlo Ancelotti's cold hands, Real Madrid was able to look extraordinary, El Real successfully buried the leading teams to be able to win the championship.  We can see how they are doing this season in the champions league, it's really amazing.  Real Madrid still have a big chance to add trophies this year, they will face Eintracht Frankfurt in the European Super Cup and Club World Cup.

They have already finished a great season and I think also that credit should go to Anchelotti. But it was not so easy journey for Real Madrid. I've noticed the dedication of all the players of Real Madrid. They had good ambition and finally they had managed to done successfully.

Next season in the Champions League might be more competitive. Barcelona are finally back in the Champions League. They have improved themselves too much so far thanks to Xavi's system which has worked great. If they continue to improve this level and add some new players to strengthen their lineup, I will expect them to do well in the Champions League. They can make us watch an even more competitive tournament but I'm not sure if they can make it to the final. I've missed to watch a strong Barcelona here.

Liverpool were the major losers this season,although they tried to get to the final of the champions league,and also was in a competition with Manchester city to win the premier league this season,but all went fruitless,when they lost to Real  Madrid,and Mancity came back from a 2-0 down to win Aston Villa,and later won 3-2 in a bid to win the tittle.Liverpool were left frustrated after they didn't win any of those two.I am not really happy that Liverpool did not win the champions league,because English teams have been playing well and deserve to win it again.

Off course Liverpool seems to be the major loser this season, but then the club tried to have come second in both premiere and champion league and also winning the FA cup this season. So i will not see Liverpool as a total failure this season.

It is a matter of perspective, Liverpool came second on their local league which is one of the best around the world, and came second as well in the most prestigious tournament for clubs around the world while winning the FA cup, so it is not a bad season at all, it just one that is really frustrating as I am sure that if Liverpool won one additional trophy their fans will be happy with the results, but since they lost the two and this happened so close from each other then they are frustrated with the results Liverpool got.

I feel like they do get all the credit in the world for winning so much. They won it three times in a row recently which is something nobody has done before (except them again when it first started). So, I have to say they weren't really expected to be this good because everyone beloved their time was "done".

Players who have been there ended up being much older, and the new ones were a bit more unknown, that is why people didn't really expected them to win it again with such a similar roster but also different one at the same time. They are getting so much love from all over the world as well, they have one of the biggest revenues in all of football, that should be good enough proof.

Yep, too bad for Liverpool, they just have difference an one goal on both English Premier League and UEFA Champions League. They're almost won, but they just had a bad luck, probably this is the worst year for Liverpool.

I never heard Liverpool want to sell Salah, it's dumb if they sell Salah since he was the one who scored the highest goals in their club. I heard about Mane want to leave, not sell. Mane said when he ever think to leave Liverpool, he always remember when he started and got accepted in Liverpool, that make him don't want to leave.

I actually thought that Liverpool had a better chance to win in the Champions League. I was actually a little disappointed that they did not win in the Champions League. I did not mind the English Premier League. Because Manchester City had an advantage and they obviously did not give up that advantage. But in the Champions League final, I thought they had a genuine chance of winning.

I really believe that it will be hard for Liverpool to take that defeat. And it is obviously really heartbreaking when you lose by only 1 point and also only one goal. But I hope they can find out what the problem is and work on it. I personally don't know what they are thinking but Mohamed Salah is not the problem at least in my opinion.

This change officially will be used on 2024/2025 and as far i know there will be no more group stage because it will change into competition format which mean each teams will playing for 8 matches home and away and the teams in the top 8 will automatically went to round 16 and the teams that are in positions 9 to 24 will fight on playoff stage to get the tickets for knockout phase and for me too this a bit confusing and i personally liked old format with 32 teams play since group stage but seems the decision is final that UEFA will use new format for next season
