His attitude towards the video has nothing to do with his opinion towards the coin. 3. It's quite possible that there are a lot more people in this world that dislike Obama than those who like him. To be honest I really don't see why anybody who does not like the video should be trolling this coin. I own a couple of mil Hiros and believe that the video makes Hiro look desperate without having any strong feelings towards Obama. I'd much rather have a video where the main developer himself goes out and throws in a few sentences in the same direction. That would actually mean something to the community and potential investors. The message that I get from your Obama video is: hey, we are desperate for any attention we can get. |

As Hiro pointed out in his previous posts, he is currently helping the Darkcoin team incorporate some of the features that are already in Hirocoin to allow Dark to be more resilient. I think this is helpful as Dark succeeds, it's likely that when Hiro returns to this coin (Which he will) and continues to work on it, that it will bring some people that are currently invested with Dark over.
Hiro is tied to this coin, it's his "baby" so to speak, and he is going to continue to improve it and make it better. This coin is not abandoned, nor will it be. It's tied to Hiro's reputation and he's not going to let it fail. He can't control the way the market reacts to things and different coins, but he can continue to work on and improve the coin so that when others fail, this one will remain viable.
Everyone wants immediate profits, but sometimes you have to take a risk on a long bet when the prices are low. If you have faith in the developer, and seen the work he's already done, you'll know this coin is going to go places. It's just not going to be today, but it will happen.*

LOL I think most of the community still believe in Hiro as the coin's lead developer, but we also feel things aren't quite right as-is. People bring up coin value a lot and refer to it as if means something is right or wrong with the coin. I'm of the belief that the coin's price is only one of the pieces of the larger puzzle since there are so many factors as to what drives interest, prices, faith, etc., but we can't ignore what an important piece of the puzzle price actually is, especially over the span of 3 months, give or take. Omar and team are in the process of rethinking the rewards and some are suggesting a reduction in total coin count outright. I think this type of brainstorming is healthy for this community, even if at the end of it all, everyone votes to stay the course. I vote we keep an open mind, see where the new thinking leads us, then as a community, vote go or no-go once ideas are a bit more fleshed out. |

Difficulty Based Dynamic RewardI am going to focus on the dynamic block reward as this is more demanding and more interesting than other current projects. The idea is that the reward is based on the average difficulty against the current difficulty. So that if the difficulty goes up so does the reward and vice versa. This sounds like the inverse of Darkcoin's solution but this will always be dynamic in that what was a high difficulty becomes normal over a period where as Darkcoin has static settings so seems to be bolted to a reward of 5 coins. There has been a lot of demand for a reduced reward which I and the team were not happy with. What we have here is something different and not done before. The higher the demand the more coins but if the demand drops off so does the coin supply. We hope this could be step one towards a price stabilization solution. As there is an immediate need for this solution I am going to focus all my efforts on to it now and drop the block browser for a bit.
