If England can bat well in the first innings, then it may not be possible to stay ahead. Although at the moment, England team has lost 6 wickets, and they have only 4 wickets left for today. India has given a lead of 126 runs, but if they can collect a little more runs tomorrow, then England will have a chance. Anyway, I think India will not win so easily and India will definitely beat England at their home ground. Bumrah set it up Root nicely with the outswingers + slower ones and out of nowhere came an inswinger. Similarly, Jadeja bowled 2 freaking deliveries from the same trajectory, one turned enough to put some doubt on Bairstow's mind and the next ball just straightened up and rattled his timber.

Ashwin also did the same with Stokes. He was setting up Stokes nicely for the last 2 overs, forcing him to play and testing his defense and finally, it paid off.

I don't blame them. I saw the condition of the pitch. It was a completely spin bowling friendly pitch. I have never seen such a bad spin friendly pitch in matches played at Hyderabad ground in the past. However, since Joe Root, Bairstwo and Stokes are among the most experienced batsmen in England, if these three batsmen bat well, it would be easy for England to collect big.

If Pope and Rehan Ahmed can bat well in the first session tomorrow, England will probably be able to give a target of more than 200/250. England team is now leading by 126 runs.

This particular pitch is the best spin pitch i have seen in the last 4 years. A good amount of turn to spinners and reverse swing for quality seam. The batters are scoring runs and almost 1000 runs scored already and 1 inning is left, what else do you want from the test pitch?

There is psychological factor involved when you are chasing, you play according to target you have to reach and that often kills the chasing team no matter how skilled they might be or how low chase it might be. That's why you often see even low chase games becoming thrillers where it should have been an easy win.

That doesn't always happen though and it's less likely in this case considering the strength difference between both these teams.

Having said that, cricket is a funny game and IMO everything is possible, sometimes it surprises you. My money is still on India for sure but don't forget, even mighty Aussie lost the fortress Gabba against India B team with net bowlers so I'd never rule out the opposition.

Agreed. Found out that around 32000+ fans(Highest in the stadium) attended the match which is epic considering that this was a test match.

The fact that they avoided an innings defeat by itself is an achievement. They had only two experienced bowlers with them - Mark Wood and Jack Leach. And I don't consider Leach as a world class bowler. And most of the heavy lifting was done by the two inexperienced spinners - Rehan Ahmed and Tom Hartley. If experienced bowlers like Anderson and Woakes were playing in this match, then I suspect that England would have been in a better position. And why Ben Stokes is not bowling in this match? Is he injured?

West Indies had a very good batting performance in the first innings of the second Test match between West Indies and Australia, I thought they might have a great batting performance in the second innings as well.But in their second innings, they are batting like in their first test match, in the second innings they were all out for only 193 runs. If we look at the batting of the West Indies batsmen in the second innings, then their batting is full of disappointment. From the first innings batting of West Indies in this test match, I thought maybe they will win this test match against Australia but it seems to be the opposite.

WI have given a target of 216 run to Aussies and on stumps day 3 Aussies need 156 more runs to win this test match. I have written earlier that WI are 100 runs short of what could ba a challanging target for Aussies. In second innings, Josh Hazlewood and Lyon did the job for Aussies. They both shared 6 wickets and that restricted WI from giving a target over 300 runs. Aussies have lost 2 wickets and only some exceptional bowling from WI can win this match for them.

Ollie Pope tries to turn around with 112 in a sixth-wicket partnership with Foakes. With Foakes out for 34, Ollie Pope ended the third day's play with a seventh-wicket partnership of 45 with Rehan Ahmed. Can deserve really  praise Ollie Pope as he single-handedly carried the England team, his solo innings of 148 gave England a 126-run lead. If England can hold on for an hour in the seventh wicket partnership at the start of the fourth day, I think England can take a big lead. However, India will definitely want their target not to go above 200 run.

Ben is not bowling in this test because he is recovering from knee operation. Now England is playing with only one fast bowler which is Mark wood. England have done quite good in second innings because of Ollie Pope 148 runs innings. England lead is 126 runs on completion of day 3. England avoided innings defeat but test defeat is still inevitable.

While India was bowling, Jasprit Bumrah picked up a few crucial wickets. If England had one more pacer apart from Mark Wood, then they could have been more successful. Even Stokes's part-time pace would have made an impact. In India's innings, out of the 121 overs, only 17 overs were bowled by pacers. The pitch at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad may be supportive of spin, but England lacked any variety in spin department. And then Indians are among the world's best while facing spin bowling.

I am not agreed about this they are developing themselves in batting because in last four innings they were able to cross 200+ just once which is clearly showing how things are going for them with their top order completely fail to give anything positive against quality bowling which is also the biggest failure for them, they need to work on their batting if they want to have better things in their future as currently their bowling is doing good, but their batting is completely down or out of the touch which is needed for the test format.
Now we have last day of this test series with most chances they will lose this test and series as well with 2–0, but they need to improve their all structure and performance otherwise they are already having nothing positive into their team and into this game with they are falling down badly.

Rehan and Hartley were rather expensive for test cricket, don't you think? While Leach and Wood were significantly inexpensive, only Root was one who was good both economically and also took wickets.

The way India batted yesterday, it looked like they could score some more runs on the third day, but they were all out early in the third day, which led to England going into bat again in the second innings.  

With 4 wickets still in hand, England must take this collection to a bigger level. If India is given a target below 300 then that target is not safe for England at all. With time still in hand, England's batsmen will have to be patient and get some more runs on the scoreboard if they are to have a competitive battle with India in this Test.

Being expensive is OK. But it is important to take wickets. My issue is that both these bowlers had combined figures of 49-4-236-4. If not for Joe Root, India could have easily made a total of 500-550. England tried the same tactic used by Australia when they toured India last time. They included inexperienced spinners such as Todd Murphy and Matthew Kuhnemann in the playing XI and actually it worked quite well. But Rehan and Hartley were unable to repeat the success of Murphy/Kuhnemann. They just don't have the same quality.

In the first test match of India vs England, the England team performed very poorly in the first innings due to which the England batsmen were all out against India for just 246 runs. India's batsmen gave England a lead of 246 runs with great batting, every player of India played well and due to good runs, the Indian batsmen were all out for 436 runs. In the second innings, the batsmen of the England team are batting fairly well, if they could have batted like this in the first innings, then there would have been a chance to win the first test match. But England is batting very well but if they can't target India above 300 runs then England won't be able to win the first test match. Because India has great batsmen who have the ability to score 300 runs so if they are to be targeted they need to score 300 plus runs otherwise it is not possible to win the first test match against India.

Tagenarine Chanderpaul is a total failure in this series. He is struggling to give performance like his father Shivnarine Chanderpaul. In his 17 test innings he has scored only 1 century and 1 fifty.
West Indies were going good today but they lost the track once they lost wicket of Kavem Hodge. This time there is no one who did the repair work for Windies. 9 wickets have gone down and WI lead is 211 runs, they are short of 100 runs of what could be a winning target. Aussies won’t find it difficult to chase something around 225.

I am going to tell you how Tagenarine Chanderpaul was out in the second innings. He was safe but Hazlewood convinced to Pat Cummins to take a review and he took and I think it was a very good judgement for them.

It was an out swing + air swing and this type of ball can't be played by Tagenarine Chanderpaul. He tried to hit on the leg side because he thought it was a wide yorker but when the balls came closer so he judged that it was not a wide yorker so he fastly moved back his foot and forward to the bat but the bat's edge touched and went to keeper's hands but the umpire did not see that it was out , so for this they took a review.

If you want to win against India, you need to give at least a target of more than 230. Because the pitch is spin friendly. And the spin bowlers in England's squad are not experienced enough. England's spin bowlers did not do well in the first innings. It is also unlikely that they will do much better in the second innings. So if England wants to stay in the safe zone, at least more than 230 targets should be provided.

Ollie Pope is batting very responsibly today. Now Pope is unbeaten with 157 runs. Rehan Ahmed is also batting very well. Unbeaten Rehan collected 28 runs. England team managed to collect 338 runs. England has taken a lead of 148 runs.

We close the day and England is leading with 126 runs, brilliant innings from Ollie Pope, everytime I hear this name, Lollypop comes to the mind, anyway he's unbeaten at 148 and with 4 wickets in hand I like to hope they'll be able to give 200 runs lead minimum tomorrow, 250 the better, and we see India on crease somewhere in second session.

Never hit a swipe shot to Lyon because whenever any batsmen tried to hit swipe to hit to him so he always got LBW, Kirk McKenzie made this mistake in today's match against Australia, and this is the biggest mistake of Kirk McKenzie because Lyon made the balls near the pad and if you trying to hit swipe to hit will swing and go in the side or outside but it took your wicket, and this same mistake did by Pakistani players when Pakistan was on the tour of Australia.
He was out by making 41 runs at 50 balls. He hit 6 fours, but cant complete his 50.

A lot was expected from him, given his recent form and family background. But it seems now that this series may put his career at risk. And that doesn't mean that other West Indian batsmen performed any better. None of them could get to a century. Only Kavem Hodge and Joshua Da Silva in the first innings and Kirk McKenzie in the second made decent contributions with the bat.

Pope going strong, he is on 158 and the way he is batting he might get to his double 100. While batters on the non striker end are getting out the latest one was Rehan Ahmed. England has now a lead of 156 runs but they have lost 7 wickets. Not much batting left except Pope who is still on the pitch. A lead of leads than 250 won't help England. They need more than 250 runs to defend their lead against the Indian batting.
