The performance of the Indian team at the beginning of the game was really disappointing as they lost 3 wickets for 33 runs. But later managed to score again and the team turned around, Rohit Sharma's excellent batting performance brought the team back to good form again. For Sarfaraz Khan it must have felt as he was run out he would have made a bigger score if he had stayed in the team. However Ravindra Jadeja scored a great century but if he survives the second day he can be expected to score more runs. If India can hold on to the early going, it looks certain to average 430/450 runs, which is certainly possible if Ravindra Jadeja is at the crease.

Still two batters yet to bat and Ash can hang on long too and the wicket look amazing for run scoring so I would say India need to score as much as they can and atleast for two sessions then the score will close to 480.

Jaddu has the capability too but can he survive the morning? And he should and just fades away the run out if he scores big daddy runs in this innings.

In the 1st Test match of New Zealand vs South Africa, New Zealand team won by 281 runs. New Zealand team came to bat and scored 511 runs in 144 overs in 1st Innings and scored 179 runs in 43 overs in 2nd Innings. South Africa team went to bat in 1st Innings.  162 runs in 72.5 overs were all out. In the 2nd Innings, South Africa team came out to bat and scored 247 runs in 80 overs, losing 10 wickets. South Africa team did not bat well.

I think the Indian team did a great job batting on the first day. They showed their skills and it looked like they were going to do well in the whole match. But the second day was not good. The Indian team didn't bat well and it was disappointing. According to the current situation if India can manage to hold on to their wickets they have the potential to reach a score of over 400 runs on the second day. And now they have made 364 runs and still lost 7 wickets.

Your predictions about Jadeja are always spot on. You read him perfectly. He really needs to work on that particular weakness of his.

Also, India is in a great position at the moment thanks to the middle order and bottom order scoring crucial runs. Jurel and Ashwin are making sure that India cross the 400 line mark which I feel is pretty competitive.

It's a batting track with a bit of bounce and reverse swing but atm the ball is not reversing so can't blame Jimmy much. Stokes captaincy and his unorthodox field setup manufactured a fair amount of wickets in this series so he has been proactive, one of the reasons they keep getting penalty points in almost every match because of poor over rates so it's a double edge sword unless you don't care about the points at all.

Crucial partnership but they need to be greedy and keep moving forward and the pitch will remain the same for tomorrow so need all extra cushion for the bowlers.

His batting pattern is open book and he's already 35 so i don't think he has any time left to work on it. The best he can do is work on his running calls, he should know that other players are not as quick as him.

India well played so far in this test match their current score is 388/7 on day two at the end of season one. India's team will look to score a 400-plus total in the First inning against England. D. Jurel and R. Ashwin are playing together after a partnership of more than 50 plus runs. England's team didn't bowl well Mark Wood only successful English bowler who took three wickets. England needs to break that partnership and All out India team to under 400 runs to come in this test game.

After the brilliant 61 runs in 66 balls by Sarfaraz Khan the runs have dried down so much that it might take a whole day for India to get to 400 runs. I didn't understand the need to put Kuldeep Yadav before Jurel he wasn't going to do anything. Jurel and Ashwin are still batting but runs are not coming as they were yesterday. I think after India reaches 400 runs and if wickets are in hand then Rohit can declare the innings. The wicket is now looking friendly for spinners and Indian spin attack would love to bowl on it.

Didn't expect India to close the inning at 445, Bumrah played really well and fast too, he could come at early position at place of Kuldeep. India will be really happy with the score, also there is doubt if Siraj will bowl today due to knee injury he received.

Would have been lit if Jurel made fifty, would have been mighty motivator for debutant, missed by just four runs.

From 33/3 to 445 runs, that's amazing! It's a remarkable comeback, with fantastic performances from Rohit, Jadeja, Sharfaraz, and Jurel contributing to India's big total in their first innings.
At the same time Mark Wood deserves credit for his tremendous effort. Without him, England might be in a much worse position in the match. He bowled really well yesterday and today. Now, let's see how England perform with the bat. Hopefully, this match will have a result on the 5th day.

The pitch should give some assistance to the spin attack as I saw earlier how spinners were able to utilize those cracks for advantage. Already Kuldeep has started bowling but I am not sure why Jadeja or Ashwin were not given the ball. I think it is a new ball and Rohit will wait for the ball to become old then he will bring them. Duckett is batting very well and has been aggressive against the Indian bowler, he has been hitting the ball constantly out of the boundary. The tactic has been similar in the earlier test match these two openers are creating pressure on the bowlers.

445 is chasable as long as there is 1 English batsmen who can anchor the innings. England start strong with 54 runs in just 9 overs. They are trying to score as fast as possible before the pitch deteriorates, without losing a wicket. Ben Duckett is off to a flying start with 41 runs in just 35 balls. India needs a couple of wickets to put a wrench into the opening gear.
