Gus Atkinson picked up the first wicket of Saim Ayub and in that time, I thought England could win this game very easily as they started very good. After that for the long time there was no wicket lost by the Pakistan and their two batsmen, Shan Masood and Abdullah Shafique were playing incredible and stood a high score of 150 in just around 30 to 35 overs that was really great.



The good thing of today match was that Abdullah Shafique was back in form otherwise for many matches, his performance was not going good in test, T20 and in the other leagues. But now, his performance is back hopefully. He made a 100 today and this will boost his confidence to a great extent.

I noticed that Gus Atkinson was the most successful bowler from the England team today as far as the first 35 overs were concerned. He was the only who picked wicket and also the Pakistani batsmen had fear to faced him. No doubt, Gus Atkinson was also affording boundaries but at least batsmen had fear of his bowling and Gus Atkinson also used to bowl bouncers and short balls. He was doing all this stuff so the batsmen remain under his pressure but always at the end of the over, he had a boundary and all the effort of his in the first 5 balls of each of his overs gone wasted.

The partnership of Abdullah Shafique and Shan Masood was very important. Pakistan collected 253 runs from this pair. Shafiqu collected 102 runs and Masood collected 151 runs. Pakistan will collect 450+ in the first innings very easily. As Pakistan lost just 4 wickets.
