Bangladesh will play two test matches against Indian team that is in Indian soil and there I believe Bangladeshi bowlers will perform very well but I have doubts about batsmen batting well. Bangladesh's batting weakness has always been seen against the big teams, if its consistency is maintained against India, but the bowlers will not be able to win the match by bowling well alone. The batsmen have to take as much responsibility as the bowlers. Batsmen will score runs and bowlers will bowl well to prevent the opposition batsmen from scoring runs, but in big matches there is a chance of winning. Let's see if Bangladesh can do the same against India. Bangladesh has some experienced cricketers and this series depends a lot on them.

Bangladesh will also play three T20 matches also but yes, the first two test matches will set the tone. No matter how much we praise about the Bangladesh team, the fact is that India is much superior team and they will have the upper hand in this series. Also, this series is happening in India and it is not easy to defeat the Indian team on the Indian soil. I think if the Bangladesh team can play competitive in the test matches, it should be satisfying for them. Thinking to win the test is asking too much from the Bangladesh team.

If i remember correctly, last time the Bangladesh team visited India, it was 2017 when they played one test match against India. India won that match. Virat Kohli was the captain of India and he made the most runs in that test match, 242 runs. Mushfiqur Rahim lead the Bangladesh then.

Having said that, if I have to entertain this idea then I'd focus on finding a replacement for Ashwin and Jadeja, the former in particular. Ashwin singlehandedly won us countless series at home with the ball and sometimes bat.

I doubt we will have a perfect replacement, especially for Ashwin because I don't really remember anyone bowling off spin these days the close to someone will be Washington Sundar but he is untested and definitely need lot of experience to have the tricky mind of Aswin like player who often do unorthodox techniques in his bowling.

We have hand-to-hand replacement for Jadeja which is Axar, but I don't think Jaddu will be leaving the long format at least for the next 3 years.

True, it's impossible to replace him as a cricketer and not many in the domestic knocking on the door with their off spin. There are fair amount of Leggie and left arm spinners tho and some of them are really good, with age in their favor but it feels like a drought of fresh blood in the off spin department and oldies like Jalal Saxena, K Gowtham etc still leading the chart in the domestic.

Washington is an interesting case, he isn't even a first choice spinner in his domestic team and only got in the test team when he was part of the India tour of Australia, he was a bowling reserve for practice only and never meant to debut there. His batting is a big plus but it won't matter as long as you are not improving with the ball and so far, he didn't show any positive sign.

I guess, they will have to replace Ashwin with 1 batting-spin and 1 spin batting allrounder and hope they chip in together and bring at least 7-8 wickets and contribute with the bat.

We certainly expect an interesting match between the two teams in this Test match, moreover Sri Lanka team's current performance is very good, in which case they will definitely play well against New Zealand. Moreover, Sri Lanka team achieved a great win against England in the last match, so there is definitely hope for a win against New Zealand. However, although New Zealand are favorites to win the series, it will be difficult for New Zealand to win the match against Sri Lanka.
But the difference I see between these two teams is that Sri Lanka's win is pretty much assured as they are playing at home.

He's up on the pecking order for sure but at the same, every potential talent deserves a long rope but the problem is that the Spin slots are packed with Ashwin-Jadeja-Axar-Kuldeep and Ash-Jaddu will be there for at least the current WTC cycle or maybe 1-2 year more so atm, it's hard to fit him in the Playing XI. If by any chance India is playing with the 4 spinners and 1 seamer then maybe he could come as a replacement for Axar otherwise i don't see him in the playing XI

In the last series against England, India already used Jadeja/Axar and Kuldeep here n there so it's not like they are not trying this left arm and leggie combination, it's just you need a off spin option as well because it gives you enough variety.

We hope that even if Bangladesh cannot play a competitive match with India, we hope that we can play competitive matches. We don't want to compare how competitive the match between India, who is ranked second in Test ranking, and Bangladesh, who is ranked ninth in Test ranking, will be, but we as supporters of Bangladesh definitely expect that Bangladesh will play better than before. I am not expecting good performance by Bangladeshi International test cricket team because they are not that kind of players who will win against India.  Pakistani team is full of referenced players and that's why Bangladeshi team became successful to win the test series against Pakistan but Indian test cricket team is totally different from Pakistani team and they will win next match easily by high margin.

 Bangladeshi team will be recessive in this series. Virat will be in the full form and he will score centuries in this series.
