Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to bat first but Bangladesh bowlers bowled brilliantly against Sri Lanka today to bowl Sri Lanka out for just 255 runs. Bangladesh was able to restrict Sri Lanka to 255 runs, due to which Bangladesh team did not have much problem to win. However, Sri Lanka was under a lot of pressure after the openers Liton Das and Soumya Sarkar got out to bat against the target of 256 runs. The responsible batting of Shanto and Mushfiqur Rahim did not have much problem to win the Bangladesh team, but the openers of Bangladesh must play responsible batting in the next match. Because the team is under a lot of pressure if they lose wickets in the beginning, then the team is under a lot of pressure, so the Bangladesh team must play responsible batting especially the openers. But Tawheed Hriday Liton Das Soumya Sarkar has performed very well in BPL but they are not performing so well in national team surely they should perform better in national team.

Bengali captain Najmul Hossain Shanto played the decisive role in leading bangladesh to victory. He stayed from the 2nd ball of the game till the last scoring 122 runs. You are right. For many years we have seen Bangladesh trying to find a perfect opener. But they still can't do it. Liton, Soumyo, Anamul and tanzid were given opportunities. But no batsman can bat consistently. Each batsman performs well in maybe 2/1 matches, and then again they start batting poorly. I don't remember the last time I saw Bangladesh's opening pair survive the first 10 overs at the crease.

Bangladesh is completely dependent on their middle order. However, experienced players like Shakib, Mushfiq and Mahmudullah will retire within a few years. Bangladesh is yet to find a replacement for these experienced players. The condition of this group will be worse in the future.

As cricket fan, I can see the growth of BAN is gradually increasing while SL keeps decreasing, especially in ODI and test formats and SL was considered as one of the team but when experienced players left they failed to fill the void with right players that resulted in such pathetic situation of SL.
