Anyone following the County One-Day Cup in England? The match between Gloucestershire and Surrey going on now, with Cameron Bancroft very close to scoring a century. 20-year old spinner Yousef Majid has been included in the Surrey squad, and so far he has picked up the crucial wicket of Miles Hammond. Andrew Umeed of Scotland is the leading run-scorer as of now, with 198 runs from 2 matches (he represents Somerset). Ed Pollock (son of former first class player Angus Pollock) recently scored 180 against Middlesex (he is at the 3rd place).

ACC has announced the details for 2025 and 2027 editions of the (Men's) Asia Cup. India will be hosting the tournament in 2025, while Bangladesh will be the hosts for the edition after that. The biggest disappointment is in terms of number of participants. ACC is keeping the number unchanged. 5 full member nations will be joined by one associate team for both the events. I was hoping that they would increase the number of participants to at least 8 (for the women's Asia Cup, they already have 8 participants).

Is there any restriction from the ICC or is it because the ACC is not into adding more teams? 

Quite weird to read that BCCI wants to host the Asia Cup, they never showed any interest in the past and they only hosted a tourney once back in 90s. I wonder what changed.

For the men's tournament they don't want to add additional teams, because it is their main revenue generator. There is no restriction from the ICC as such. Women's tournament is more like a supplementary championship. They can afford to have minnows, as the media rights holders won't complain about it too much. And another fact to remember here is that associate men's teams (with the exception of a few teams) are almost entirely comprised of expats. That is not the case with women's teams. They mostly have native players (Hong Kong is a perfect example).

Look like now India is going to change their stance on few things just because of this they are going to host this event in 2025 with we are also having Champions Trophy this will create good excitement for the social media fans because both parties are hot and ready for starting their work.

Asia Cup is surely having not worth for the BCCI because they are already having enough to manage things for themselves hopefully in future as we have some improvement in quality of Asian Associates we will be able to have 8 teams events.

Rushing the game of ODI cricket strategy here will do neither yourself nor the team any good.
I assume a batsman bats at a very low strike rate. But if he is on the 50 over wicket then some runs will accumulate on the scoreboard but whenever he bats with good strikes but all the team players are out in 40 over then the team score will not be in a healthy position at all. So it is more important for each team to keep their wickets up to 50 overs.

Is it possible, maybe every team wants to play the scheduled full overs. Overs prescribed in ODI format, T20 format and Test format are different. Even the playing style of these three formats varies among players. In the ODI format, you have to play by rotating the strike as you have to hold the wicket. So that the team can build a respectable score. If you only think about the overs then you don't have to look at, how well the players are batting and how many runs they are able to score on the scoreboard. In the ODI format we often see many teams playing the full fifty overs and even scoring runs of over 300 as we saw in the match between Scotland and Namibia.

Scoring runs and survival depends on how calm and experienced a team is. Because I have seen a lot of games in the past but many teams perform very badly, they don't perform in ODI matches until full fifty again, they get all out before the 50 overs are completed and the number of runs is very low. 
As we mention Bangladesh, they perform well in very few matches, but if we think of Australia, New Zealand, India among these teams, then surely they can score 300 plus runs and keep wickets for a long time till 50 overs.

In the ODI format, just as you have to keep the overs alive, you also have to keep the wickets so that the team can move towards big collections against the opposition.

So basically survival depends on players and being patient is most important.  Usually weak teams fail to perform to their full potential in T20 ODIs and Test matches.

At least when it comes to associates, ACC is much more supportive when compared to the ICC. And they do have one associate team in the men's Asia Cup (although I would like to get it increased to 3). That said, the main issues remain. Most of the teams (especially those in the Gulf region) doesn't even have a single citizen in their team, and entire squads are comprised of expats from India and Pakistan. If the ACC decides to increase the number of associates to 3, and these slots gets filled up with mercenary teams, then it will be no good.

Hindukush Strikers vs Mah-E-Par Stars

Anyone here to watch the matches of this competition Ghazi Amanullah Khan Regional One Day Tournament and this competition was fully finished and final match among Hindukush Strikers squad against Mah-E-Par Stars was played on 25th July.

This fight was finished with narrow outcome and in this match,   Mah-E-Par Stars sqaud displayed amazing performance in batting Inning and their batters managed much difficult Defeating target of total 307 scored in 50 oners inning (One day). But their bowlers did not support their sqaud to secure victory by restricting the Hindukush Strikers batters below their Defeating target but little bit their bowlers expressed bad performance and faced defeat with 5 balls and 5 Wickets. Abdul Malik supported their sqaud in batting inning at 40 scores after that score he wiping out and Zubaid Akbari was playing this match with full confident and he beating the bowlers of Mah-E-Par Stars squad very badly and managed 134 scorers. After wiping out this wicket Rahmat Shah at 68 scores. Next batters played not good but their bowlers was unable to restrict and lost this final match as well trophy.

Yes, I will watch their matches.  And among them I have an idea of the perform of Hindu Kush.  Because I have paid more attention to their matches and the reason is that their perform used to be very good.  And his performance has made him reach the final match.  And his same performance has given him victory in the final as well.  Their batsmen won the match very efficiently and with their pace.  Although their batsmen were given a target of 307 which was not so easy.  But their batsmen achieved this target and won the match.  Congratulations to him for this win.  And I also hoped that they will definitely win the final match.  But when they found the target, my hope was dashed.  But when we got close to the target, I had full hope that we would win the match.  Mah Pera's team is also a good performing team but their bowler is not under pressure due to which they will lose this match.  They could have won the match.  But luck did not favor them and they lost in the final

I think India is good host and Indian has also setting with ICC and ICC always support India and ICC always tried it's best to fall Pakistan. ICC took wrong actions against Pakistani players,for example Saeed Ajmal was a top most player of Pakistan but ICC ban Saeed Ajmal action after years of career. How is it possible when a player is playing for the years in International matches and his action ban when he was top of the bowlers of the World. When Pakistani team won the World Cup 1992 then ICC didn't like that and always discourage Pakistani team and ICC tried their best to degrade Pakistani team and they became successful when they distroyed the career of Saeed Ajmal.ICC will support to that country that will give advantage to ICC and Pakistan country did gave advantage to ICC.

When India started batting first in the third T20I match, India lost three wickets in just three overs. Instantly this match was the biggest opportunity for the Sri Lankan team to turn around, but the Sri Lankan team failed in that direction at the end of the game. India team again bowled well and defeated Sri Lanka team for the third time, it was very unfortunate because Sri Lanka team was ahead in bowling but not good in batting. 

So this match Rinku Singh and Suraiya Kumar Yadav are the most important bowling of these two to win the third T20 match. You notice and watch they pick up two wickets from the first over only and these wickets were the reliable batsmen, because of these batsmen's dismissal the Sri Lankan team lost at the last minute and the match ended with a margin of 3-0.

Later the ODI matches will start and here too like T20 matches, ODI matches are more likely to result.

Times have changed. Sri Lanka is much stronger now, compared to the state they were in during the last Asia Cup. And for India, the senior players (such as Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and KL Rahul) are nearing retirement. The major difference this time is that Jasprit Bumrah is not included in the squad. That is a major breather for the Lankans. The pace attack is likely to be comprising of Khaleel Ahmed, Arshdeep Singh, Mohammed Siraj and Harshit Rana. And I would not consider any of them to be consistent.

The T20I series has finished and the Indian team has won it. Now, on 2nd August we will see the ODI match between them which will be led by the Rohit Sharma. After a month, we will see the Rohit Sharma to lead the Indian team.
The last match was the suspenseful match of this T20 series as well because the match went to the the super over (Yes, in super over the Indian team won it one sided), but overall the game was too fantastic that we have seen. This time also the some good players were not playing but the Indian team played very well. I'm hoping to see them continue their form in ODI too.

Indian team is good team in cricket and no team have capacity to win the series against India. Indian B  team lose first T20 match against Zimbabwe and we saw excellent come back by Indian team and they won the remaining 4 matches. Indian full strength team is not playing because  Bumrah is not a part of that squad ,Pandeya is also on rest and many winners of the World cup are on rest and Rohit Sharma and Virat took retirement from T20. But they are also not a part of ODI squad and after that Indian team is winner and won the last series by 3-0.In ODI series, there are 99 percent chances  that  Indian cricket team will win this series by 3-0 and id Sri Lankan team would win one match that is their excellent struggle.

Don't you think that when everyone knows that one team (India in this case) will win easily all the matches, the bookmakers will give very low odds to the Indian team making it worthless to bet on these matches?
I wish that Sri Lanka may upset in one of the initial games as it will make bookmakers to give better odds to the Indian team but at the same time, the upset match will reward those who take the risk of betting on Sri Lanka's team and get much higher odds for it.

T20 is the format where weaker teams can be competitive. As the duration of the game increases, there is less likelihood that they will be able to compete in a meaningful way. And I haven't seen any positive signals from the T20I series for Sri Lanka. The last match was close, but they got whacked by second string Indian players in almost every other match. And the ODI series is going to be even tough, as they will be playing against the regular Indian players including Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma.

Basically India is leading in cricket. Means in every format we have seen India is doing their best. If India has shown a good performance in T20I series so I hope they will do their best in the ODI series too. Because the big reason is that Virat and Rohit are now in. So now the Squad of Indian team is looking more stronger as compare to T20 squad. So I think India can make again a clean sweep in the ODI series too.
