Not sure if this is 100% accurate, but according to the article, JMF had a salary of 75 million in 2023. That’s over 6 million a month, which is way bigger than what Williams was offered. So he might be seeking a higher salary because he believe so much that his talent could bring a championship to the team.

Well, TBH it's not surprising to me that he's making way more money than other players, but to earn that much in just one year is what surprises me, but thinking about it. He deserves it just because of how he carried and lead the SMB in multiple titles. I wonder how much he's making last year and this year. Maybe the same or even more now that they won a title again in the Philippine Cup. SMC can give that huge of a salary so... yeah, and he deserves it anyway.

75 million a year doesn’t seem accurate, and honestly, that source doesn’t look reliable. Here’s one from Spin, which I think is more trustworthy.
It’s an old article, but it says how much Fajardo is making, and it’s not even 1 million a month.

Non clarified that contrary to popular belief, ony four-time PBA MVP June Mar Fajardo has a maximum contract among the current Beermen, which sees him take home a monthly salary of P420,000 or P5.04 million in total annually.

I Think Malonzo knew he would be traded, and the Gins are letting him go, so he made a move before they did, we know how Corporation think, to be honest i will not be surprise if SMC would get Williams.
Making One company one team is the best way for pba to return to glory days, i thought gins will make it to the finals i have a feeling that they needed to give it to SMB, just my thought, because Gins loss to TNT multiple time and straight times.

Even if he doesn’t get traded, playing overseas is still the smartest move, it gives him a much bigger paycheck and a better chance to really make use of his talent.

An NBA agent who services clients in Asia told me that players of Malonzo's caliber, armed with mad skills and stout national team credentials, typically receive a starting salary of $40,000 a month or P2.24 million.
If he does well, as expected, with the Kyoto Hannaryz of the Japan B.League, Malonzo could get a bump of $50,000 a month, the figure which is believed to be what Thirdy Ravena was being paid before he left for Dubai.
At age 29, it's safe to say that he left Ginebra for greener pastures. And nobody should blame him for looking to feather his retirement nest. Playing hoops, after all, has a limited life span.

That's why those players who did signed abroad is not afraid since they always have options if they still wanted to play in our country, like you said either PBA or MBPL or they can just play like panalay if you are familiar with that, or just some exhibition games and wait for another offers, those known stars who don't want to go back they just play like that and still earned something decent, but for sure with the amount Malonzo will recieve that's really something that he'll push him to play harder to keep that contract open.

This ₱420,000 salary for Junemar Fajardo, I’d say, is just his base pay. It could reach nearly a million if you include his endorsements and under-the-table deals.
Playing overseas is good for players who are looking for a higher salary, what they earn in one year abroad could be the same as what they’d earn in three years playing in the PBA. But the downside is being far from their family, which is the reason Bolick chose to return to the PBA.

I think they can avenge their loss. This is just a qualifier, if they lose here, it might make things tougher for their next games. yeah, they lost in their last meeting, but that doesn’t mean they’ll lose again...and there’s a reason why they’re the favorite, so I think I’ll place my bet early.

If they managed to come back from a 21-point deficit in a friendly game, there’s no reason not to trust them.

The line went up for the handicap, showing how bookies seeing the edge for team Gilas, likewise if you are into betting for the National team best to place as early as now, the previous lost already been forgotten and with how Gilas showcase their capabilities during that friendly game I guess it's display how confidence the team now playing with each other and the combinations of the players are now being organized by all the assistant coaches behind CTC.

It's now at -6.5 with a total of 169.5. Honestly, I feel more comfortable taking the total since both teams will probably be firing a lot of threes, especially Chinese Taipei, so I can see this game going over. After that friendly match where Gilas let their opponent lead by 21 points, I’m not sure if I can trust them to cover this spread. With this line, I feel like the value might be on the other side.

I was supposed to ask where we could watch this game. Good thing you already posted it, so thank you. Upon checking the score, it looks like Gilas Pilipinas has slim chance of winning today's game. I don't know what's happening to Gilas, but they like unprepared for today's match and are playing without chemistry. I hope they can bounce back in the 4th quarter, but Chinese Taipei already has a double digit lead.

Looks like Chinese Taipei has an NBA-caliber player, similar to Justin Brownlee though I'm not sure of his name. Good Luck Gilas Pilipinas... Laban..

The PBA has imposed a three-year ban for the players that didn't renew their contracts because they chose to play overseas and mostly with KBL and BLeague. What a personal matter that the PBA is doing to these players that have found a greener pasture than the PBA.

PBA needs to step up to secure their future, to stop players going abroad and show t heir talents here in the Philippines. PBA now made their moves not to step up but pull down.

That’s tough, they lost to Chinese Taipei, so how much more against the powerhouse teams? I feel like our journey might end soon, we could even lose to New Zealand next. And JMF really took a lot of criticism for this one, he had a rough game. Hard to believe the best player in the PBA could play that bad here.

LOL, PBA is getting desperate. Instead of stepping up and competing with other leagues, they resort to threatening players who are just trying to find a better opportunity elsewhere.
