Do you guys think the PBA is taking it personally? The PBA is imposing a 3yr ban on draftees who don’t sign and expiring players who join other leagues. For me, that’s a very bitter move, a baby boomer move. They can’t take it when players go abroad to play and don’t choose the PBA, so now they’re imposing a 3yr ban. For what? To make players think twice or stop them from going abroad? LOL. It’s like they don’t want others to seek better opportunities. No brainer, of course, these days, if there’s a better opportunity, you go and grab it.

There is no competition in the pba, at the same time, teams are farming on lower teams, then putting it on the main team, i think players wan't to play the level of play that they will not think of the sister team, at the same time with good pay, and good organization, if ever im the player ill choose abroad, with high level , and good pay, for sure ill grow there, look at the gilas team against the taipei, they don't want to play players not in the pba, young players are bench even the first 5 don't play good, im saying coach is great but, he insist on playing only pba player throughout the game

But I doubt young players would follow especially that they have a good chance to showcase their talent there and also could able to get more better pay checks. There are so many farm teams in PBA and it will be a waste of talent if those talented players in Philippines would let those manipulators and dictators on PBA to control them.

I think this is their way of trying to keep players from leaving. We can’t really blame them since a lot of talents are signing contracts abroad, and when those deals expire or they don’t get re-signed, they just come back to play in the PBA again. So far, I’ve only seen Bollick return, but I guess the PBA wants to send a message that it’s not just a training ground, it’s supposed to be a serious league, even if the salaries sometimes feel like they’re only for practice players.

That’s tough, they lost to Chinese Taipei, so how much more against the powerhouse teams? I feel like our journey might end soon, we could even lose to New Zealand next. And JMF really took a lot of criticism for this one, he had a rough game. Hard to believe the best player in the PBA could play that bad here.

Don't lose hope, let's just support our team and they've been there always and we should always be there for us too. I know that New Zealand is strong but let's cheer for them to win. As for Junemar's game, it's not always good with having 2 points and it's hard to be honest. But hopefully, CTC have learnt that the young ones should have been given more playing time like KQ.

The PBA has imposed a three-year ban for the players that didn't renew their contracts because they chose to play overseas and mostly with KBL and BLeague. What a personal matter that the PBA is doing to these players that have found a greener pasture than the PBA.

LOL, PBA is getting desperate. Instead of stepping up and competing with other leagues, they resort to threatening players who are just trying to find a better opportunity elsewhere.

That's what they know what to do to prevent players going to other leagues. They should be proud that Philippine basketball players are imported, right?

Still the PBA is losing in this scenario if ever they play in the MPBL right after their stint in the overseas league. The commissioner should think of a good way on how to stop or minimize players on playing abroad. We all knew that money is the issue here so they've got to offer players who are talented enough so that they will stay.

Maybe October? I'm not sure but I'm just going to watch semis and finals no need to watch regular games specially if its just with the low teams i mean, they are just the farm team if they perform well those players improve will be just traded, or give up on the semis just to give way to the sister team, trade should be change it will not allow it but Chua is already running the show, conflict of interest is all over the place.

I read something, bro, that the opening of the 50th season of the PBA is on October 5, so it'll be quite a while before we can bet on their games again.
Talking about imports, there’s not much news except for Chris McCullough, the former import of San Miguel Beer who won a championship. Apparently, he wants to return to SMB and said he’ll reach out to them about it.
Justin Brownlee and RHJ are definitely returning to Ginebra and TNT.

About the Gilas game tonight against New Zealand, the line is +9.5. I’m not sure if they can bounce back after that loss to a lower-ranked team, so I’m really skeptical here. The over might be the safer option, especially since Gilas doesn’t really play solid defense anymore, and their big men especially Junemar has struggle on the last game resulting to a very poor performance.

Remember during the FIBA World Cup qualifiers? They had a strong start, but once Kai got injured, they couldn’t win anymore. His presence gave the team solid interior defense, and now that’s gone.

So far, we’re 0-2. The next game needs to be a win, no more excuses.

Same here, i didn't watch the game live as i have doubts that Gilas will win versus the taller New Zealand team.
Definitely, they missed the services of Kai Sotto but still it was a good game just unfortunate that the comeback fell short.

The game against Iraq is a must win situation for them as that team is very beatable as they don't have a lot of naturalized players. T will bet for Gilas this time even if the odds is high as i think they will bounce back strong and cover the spread.

They need a win to move forward and keep that hope alive, if they continue losing these squad may suffer and won't be able to move forward, can't say anything about the team as they put everything in, just lack of inside presence as both Fajardo and Edu are not filling that spot the way Kai was.

I missed the betting on this, If i just saw this earlier i will bet for the IRAQ, 19.5 is a good handicap as the Gilas is  really struggling with their chemistry,
But i saw  the game at half time already with 33 all in the game. Thankful that the Gilas Pinas went good on their 3RD Q and got 15 points lead to end the 3rd and complete the game with a W.
