Game 1 for both series starts tomorrow, so it looks like our local bet won’t happen this time.

I’ll probably just take my bets online as usual, unfortunately PBA isn’t like the NBA where you can place series bets, and that’s really the downside.
No choice though, let’s just enjoy the games and hope the series doesn’t end up boring.

Someone must start our season bet, This semi Final i love to pick SMB and Meralco, Can Someone arrange the this tournament?

I’m an SMB fan too, so I its not possible to bet on their matchup against Ginebra. But for the other semis, TNT vs Meralco, I’m leaning toward TNT so we can actually have a play there. It’s a best-of-seven series, so it’s going to be a long one. If you’re up for it, I can put $100  on TNT to win the series. What do you think?

Yup, I also hope that the game will still as competitive as it is and not manipulated that fans and viewers can easily recognize hahaha. But in the serious note kabayan all that 4 teams are capable and have that package to advance to the finals it's just a matter of how the coaches will play their system and how the players will perform.

This topic will never really get old. Manipulation can happen for sure, but if you’re a gambler you’re already aware of that and you just try to choose the right side anyway. It can be frustrating at times, but that’s just part of the game. If we really don’t want to deal with stuff like this, then we shouldn’t bet at all, but let’s be honest, can we really do that. Probably not, because betting adds excitement to the game.

Agree, but even with all that hearsay about manipulation, I’m still betting on my favorite team, San Miguel, to beat the Ginebra Gin Kings. Honestly, I don’t buy into this manipulation talk—it’s just that Ginebra has that ‘never-say-die’ spirit people admire, and it has nothing to do with the officiating. I’ve already placed my bet for tonight, and I find the odds tempting since the spreads for both games aren’t too high, which makes sense because this is only Game 1 of the series.

TNT bet won.
They were down by around 20 but still managed to come back and win by 5.

In the 2nd game though, SMB couldn’t stop Ginebra’s 4th quarter run and ended up losing.
Cruz and Trollano didn’t really show up, overall SMB just had a bad game, especially at the free throw line where they missed a lot.

Anyway it’s still a long series, better luck next time. I lost my bet as well since I parlayed your two picks and also took SMB over 100.5.

I agree mga kabayan, it's an addition to feel that extra enjoyment when you are also adding some bets for the team that you are supporting, I guess if you don't buy the outcome then better not to bet just watch and enjoy there's no one forcing you to gamble hahaha..

But kidding aside, first game TNT outrun Meralco it was a great since Bolts have a very great start they dominated the first half but TNT managed to make that rally and complete snatching game 1. While in game between Ginebra and SMB, it was the never say die who took over from start to finished they maintain the tempo and win game 1 against SMB.

I want to see SMB and TNT for a finals rematch if it will make a difference if some of the key players of TNT are healthy , could they stand a chance with junmar and SMB or it would be the same result, or if Gins pass through SMB we might see a rematch also minus the import for the finals, even so if Meralco, SMB would avenge their loss in the finals in all Filipino, different scenarios.

The first game between TNT and Meralco was thrilling. The Bolts even built a 21-point lead in the first half, only to see it erased in the third quarter. I really thought Meralco would pull it off, but Calvin Oftana and his crew refused to back down. In the second game, it was Tim Cone’s bench players who made the difference. RJ Abarrientos dropped 23 points, which the Beermen struggled to contain. Still, I expect adjustments to be made so he won’t score that heavily in the next matchup.

This is a tempting offer but I’m gonna pass since I believe SMB will take the next game and get control of the series. They had a bad Game 1 but that’s just one game and this is a best of 7 series. Once they even it up, everything changes and the momentum swings back to SMB.

In fact, I’m planning to bet bigger in Game 2 no matter what the spread is for SMB.

When I looked at the score of Meralco VS. TNT, the Bolts are up by near 20 points on the first half. I didn't expect that they will choke in the 2nd half and lose still to TNT. Anyway, that's just how it is, and just by looking at the roster, the TNT has a better one.

As for the Ginebra VS. SMB, Ginebra led by double-digits in the first half, but the Beermen slowly clawed back and took the lead at one point in the 3rd quarter, but Ginebra regained the lead in the 4th quarter thanks to the 3-pt shots from both Cu and Torres which for me saved them in that game and getting the win as well. Anyway, I also wanted to see SMB VS. TNT on this one, but I will not be surprised if we will be seeing different teams fighting for that PH Cup title. It's been a while since we've seen a different title holder for the PH Cup in the PBA because it's been SMB all along. We want a different team to win now.

Yup, if ever Gin Kings upset SMB whoever wins between TNT and Meralco will have a better competition, no big gap inside unlike with SMB Junemar is a big difference, though we can't conclude that yet and for sure SMB also wanted that opportunity to win another title, let see if what will happen this upcoming game 2 if both series will be tied up or TNT or Ginkings will have 2-0 advantages or both will win and enjoy the lead.

I agree with this TNT/Meralco Vs Gins is a good match-up but can they overcome Junmar?
This is the question that everyone want's to find out, Ginebra have the players but will they be able to deliver, they also been defeated last time by SMB, its up to Cone to adjust and learn from the last mistake, using all those star players they farm all this years need to payoff, or else building, and dismantling other teams for their need is such a shame.
But its also up for the players to respond and avenge their last season defeat.

That’s actually simple. Ginebra can get some help from the refs, get the calls going their way, put JMF in early foul trouble and SMB’s offense will struggle right away.

The guy who’s supposed to complement JMF is still inconsistent, and that’s CJ Perez.
If they manage to keep JMF limited because of foul trouble, Ginebra could realistically take this series.
