I would say that the second game between the Beermen and the Gin Kings is more interesting. IMO, this is a game where the Beermen have the advantage as their import Justine Patton was performing very well on their last game and besides that the addition of Patton brings more ceiling to the already tall lineup of the Beermen while on the Gin King's side they will be missing the services of Japeth Aguilar who will not play tonight as he is injured but we don't know if Justine Brownlee would offset that disadvantage that they have tonight.

I really like this matchup because both teams clearly want it. Of course JMF and SMB’s import can dominate the paint, but I’m trusting Brownlee on this one.

Tight ballgame we have right now, the score is tied at 82 apiece with 37 seconds to go. Brownlee missed that very important free throw that could have given them the lead.

Congrats bro, just enough to cover the spread. That shot from Trollano was cold, and I think the main problem with Ginebra is they were once again too reliant on Brownlee, so in the end he got tired and even missed a lot of free throws. Next time, I think Ginebra could be a good bet since they’ll likely try to bounce back and adjust their game. That last play they ran was already predictable and it wasn’t a good shot at all since it was heavily contested.

Brownlee could have taken that 4 point shot. Even if it was contested, I still believe he could have made it since we’ve seen him hit those shots many times before. It just looked like he was already tired, especially since he was also putting in effort on defense.

I agree and the reason why they gamble for that shot knowing that he's capable though not for them today kabayan, still a nice competition for both teams and for the fans they can't ask for more, like what been mentioned in terms of handicap SMB managed to cover and provide decent amount of profits for those who support them either ML and handicap both got decent odds.

Looks like choosing Brownlee was still the right decision since they’re still competitive even if their import is shorter compared to others. I haven’t seen Ginebra face TNT yet, and that’s something I really want to watch, especially how they will handle someone like Bolick or TNT’s main weapons. TNT just dominated SMB, while Ginebra lost to SMB, so if we base it on that, it looks like Ginebra might struggle against TNT. But of course, matchups can still be different when they actually meet.

We have games today. Right now it’s Magnolia vs DYIP, Magnolia is leading but there’s still plenty of time left. So far it looks like a very low scoring game, those who took the under are probably having an easy win here.

DYIP takes another loss while Magnolia continues their winning streak, it really looks like the change of import solved their problem.

The second game is where it gets more interesting, TNT vs Meralco. The spread is quite high, I got TNT at -7.5 and I still like it.

They were able to make it close in the 4th, got it down to 10 points, but Meralco always had an answer. I already stopped watching.

You should’ve finished the game, it actually got close.TNT managed to cut it down to just 2 points, but unfortunately they still fell short in the end. That last shot, the 4-point attempt, was honestly easy to predict since Bol was the one taking it. I don’t think that was the best option. It probably would’ve been better if they let someone else take the final shot, maybe Nambatac or Heading, since both of them can get hot and are more than capable of making that kind of shot.

Agree to that, as both are experienced shooters and really taking those long shot, though Bol is their import and he can take into the account but for me I still prefer to have those local players to take it, nothing can be done now as the game already ended and it was a missed that they need to move forward, might need more adjustment for them to jive together then win their next assignment.

I also noticed that Bol isn’t really that good on defense. He can block shots, but against bigger imports he gets pushed around, and that’s where he becomes a liability. He also tends to play too much one-on-one, which makes their offense predictable and leads to mistakes.

In that game, TNT really lacked three point shooting, while Meralco’s ball movement was very impressive. Everyone was involved and willing to take shots without hesitation, probably because they have a good point guard running the system. Yeah right, Meralco played the game where fans expected to see from TNT instead, they are all willing to take the shot when they see that good looks, and since the ball movement is good they are able to make good shots, though TNT did try to bounce back but just out of time, that comment regarding to Bol is something that TNT needs to adjust, they are a good team before him and they need him to jive his game for the team and not the team for him, a lots of one on one though as a player that's a coach call he will not going to hold that ball that much without a go signal from his coach.

Hope no one here took that line i posted because if you did, that’s a waste of money. TNT lost, which I honestly didn’t expect, mainly because Bol Bol was not effective in that game. Yes, he still finished with a double double if I remember correctly, but his overall impact wasn’t there, his defense was weak and offensively he didn’t deliver when it mattered.

Right now, there’s still no team that looks truly dominant in the PBA.

By the way, ROS is still flawless at 5-0 after defeating SMB. ^{(still not dominant for me)}

Games today, the first one is very interesting, ROS vs Converge, and as I saw Abueva is already playing, this will be his debut with Converge. Hopefully this is the boost they need to finally end their losing streak, and at the same time stop the winning streak of ROS.

It’s a tough challenge for sure, but I still trust Converge to win here because they really don’t want to get eliminated early.

The ROS import played really well, his outside shooting was on point the whole game. Good effort from Converge, but it still wasn’t enough. I think they didn’t even cover either since they lost by 9.

Next game we have Manila Clasico, Ginebra vs Magnolia. I’m rooting for Ginebra to win and cover the spread.

That 3rd quarter run by ROS gave them decent lead and even how hard Converge tried to catch up and rally back they unable to make it and got out of time, and it happened another loss for Converge still can't find the rhythm that wil jive the players together and start winning back, still have time but they need to figure it out as soon as possible to make a decent comeback and who knows they'll manage move forward and still be competitive in chasing the title.

That gives a little hope though, but they still failed to turn it into a full comeback win.

Their run started when they had that three-guard combination on the floor, their offense looked much better with that setup. But ROS figured it out in the end and still managed to beat Converge. Tough loss.

We should watch this one, both teams are going at each other with the same 3-2 standing. But looking at the line, Ginebra feels a bit overvalued to me, especially since the last time they won, if I remember correctly, it was only by 2 points.

Now Phoenix is at +9.5, and honestly I’m even thinking about taking the moneyline. You guys are tempted of that too?
