So for now, let's not talk much about him as he did not even represent the team in Asian games, so his injury is probably not healing yet.
And he is not getting any younger as well, serious injuries could possibly result to end of his career.

NO FIBA NO ASIAN for Brownlee! It means that this is serious as JB is not on his young age and the injury he is carrying is been with him for a long time.
He decided to play before with Ginkings even he feels not 100%. Maybe it firesback now whch really need a long time to heal or might end his career if he will push himself far. So, lets wait for that.

Seems like it, and we're in trouble. I mean, we have to accept the reality that without Brownlee, our team really struggles.

But there is a player who already applied for naturalization, I think he could still be a good replacement, though probably not as good as Brownlee. SBP really needs to think about this now, and also consider if Brownlee can still come back, because we have competitions waiting. Hopefully we don't end up embarrassed again like what happened last time in the Asian Games.

Yes he can play because he is already a Filipino citizen and he already has a Philippine passport, but don't expect that he will be as good as Brownlee because he is not as versatile as Brownlee. He is not the type of player who can easily create his own points, especially during the crucial minutes.

Speaking of Boatwright, he will be eligible to play in next windows FIBA World Cup Qualifiers already even if they will sign it or not. It's because of this one.

Under Philippine law, if the President does not sign or veto a bill within 30 days of receiving it from Congress, it automatically becomes a law (Republic Act No. 12323).

Even if our President will not sign it, it will automatically becomes a law meaning he will be eligible to play. Worse comes to worse, Brownlee still can't play, at least we now have a naturalized player that we can use to play for our National team. As for that reports, I haven't seen any CREDIBLE source of it therefore, there's no confirmation for that at all so more probably it's just a made-up rumor but who knows. I don't think that Brownlee will sign it though because he's loyal to our country, and a mere money even though it's life-changing isn't enough for him to betray us and the team.

Both our naturalized players have advantages and disadvantages, and Coach Tim Cone will make some adjustments to it assuming that Boatwright will be the one playing on the next window.

The Abra Weavers made a historic first game in the East Asia Super League (EASL) by defeating the Hong Kong Eastern 79-72 at the SM Seaside Arena here in Cebu. I've watched the game live out of curiosity and of course this is my first time to witness international game inside the newly built SM Cebu Arena. I could say that is was fun but seeing Philippines represented but almost non-Filipino players makes me sab but of course this is not Gilas so that game still entertained the crowd.

Speaking of Gilas, reports have it that the February window against Jordan will be played in the Cebu Arena, looking forward to this game and also hoping that Junemar Fajardo will come out of retirement and play for the last time in front of his hometown.

On their game against the Hongkong Eastern, to be honest it was only the Ildefonso brothers that ring a bell to me, the rest are a new name for me since i'm not watching MPBL games a lot. Dave Ildefonso scored 9 points in that game and the rest of the score of the Abra Weavers were scored by their imports. Jalen Johnson was explosive in that game scoring 14 points and some crucial baskets in the 4th quarter while Fadi Ibrahim, the Jordanian import was equally explosive as he also scored 14 points.

So, PBA games will be back tomorrow. though no odds yet but i think NLEX will be the favorite against Macau while TNT will be the favorite against Terrafirma.

Unfortunately for the 1st game, my favorite bookies has not covered this game as usual as they are avoiding games involving Macau as per my observation for quite some time now so no betting for the first game.

In the 2nd game, i'm going for the Katropa even though they have a new import in Nick Hornsby. Games from hereon are very important to position themselves in the quarterfinals so i think TNT will handle Terrafirma easily tonight.

Hard to expect much from a team that has probably already lost its morale. To be in the record books like that, they are not going to forget it easily, and maybe we don't know if there are already some developments happening within the team, which could be bad and only destroy their chemistry even more.

But let's see in their next game if they will improve.

This is a screenshot on the Livestream of a famous sports channel in our country, and when I saw this one, I just feel bad for our league. I feel bad because while other lower leagues like MPBL and MBL have lots of fans watching personally and getting entertained, the PBA which is one of the oldest leagues are still on a situation where it's like we're in a COVID situation where we can't watch personally. Nobody's interested in watching it anymore.

It's very frustrating to see those ghosts watching there if you know what I mean. My point is, the PBA isn't doing anything to at least make the league more competitive and attractive to watch. People only watch when it's either Ginebra, San Miguel or in the playoffs. Heck, I didn't even know that the PBA games are back already.

Sorry for the "rant-type" of post, but that's the reality. Nobody wants to watch PBA anymore at least in person.

This is a double round robin format wherein they will meet twice the opponents in their group and their standing is 2-7 so they have only 3 game more before totally eliminated. Based on the below opponents, i think it is only the TNT Katropa has a high chance of duplicating what TNT did to Macau but hopefully it won't happen, a 20+ point margin will do .

Isn't this a mistake? Ginebra will have -1.5 vs The number 1 team on their bracket? Rain or Shine having a good game and leading the bracket while GinKings is at the bottom of the standing.
I will go for the ROS this time and will take advantage of the odds.

Ginebra vs Magnolia promises to be an exciting game as Jordan Murphy showed that he can play hoops in his debut game against ROS producing 30 points in that game while grabbing 13 rebounds in an all around effort. Will be backing the Gin Kings in this game as they are the ones who needed the victory the most as they are at the bottom of the standings. The import is good, all they need to do is to heat-up RJ Abarrientos and Stephen Holt early so that they will be a factor in this game.

Went to ROS last time and did not end wwell, I will be backing GinKings also vs Magnolia and I hope they can continue to plaay well. That break from Gilas game gave the Ginebra a good time to make play and build chemistry with their impoport.
We should not also forget that GinKings will face again the new number 1 on their bracket.  Theres no doubt that Converge is the favorite team on the first game.

I am lucky I did not know that SMB has a match yesterday,  money gone again if ! knew it.
