Gambling as a profession: there's people who live out of gambling?

I'm sure there are professional gamblers out there and I'm also sure, with the big wins that sometimes get it will be enough for him to pay for his daily living needs or maybe for the next few months, at the same time will be used again for betting. So, I feel that pro gamblers are gamblers who have big bankrolls so they don't worry too much about losing, because in the end they will definitely be able to handle it with their experience and strategy.

I have seen and known people who have gambled for a living but for the most part they are already rich enough to not even care if they lose as they have businesses to back them up. Some gamblers I've known have built and started their businesses with their gambling winnings and stopped working their jobs to be a full-time gambler. The key to have a profession on gambling is the have patience (have control on yourself) and know what to only gamble. Anyway, I know some people who've gone broke due to greed and losing their patience as they've bet stuffs that made money for them which isn't something ideal.

Gambling as a profession? Maybe its possible if your pro in skill based casino games just like texas holdem poker because you need high level set of skills and experiences, non-skill based casino games are impossible to earn a living because you will only rely on pure luck.

You are correct, among the gambling games the only one that required skills is the poker game while all others are just gambling for luck. This is the reason why many professionals do end in poverty after their involvement in gambling. We all agree that gambling make have made thousands in this industry also it has destroyed and still destroying thousands in this industry.

Most gamblers that have made a living on it rarely gamble on luck based games as they won't have much advantages on it unlike skill base games where they can rely on their own knowledge and strategy to win such as card games.

With that being said, there are indeed a few notable people who are so good at gambling they basically make an earning out of it. But if you aren't that confident enough of your skills, I would suggest looking for other ways to earn money.

Only applicable into those kind of games which are definitely on strategic ones.I don't believe much for people who do able to make a living

There are people whom do really make out some living with gambling but the number are really less to consider yet those are ones who do live neither on poker,

You should make yourself sustainable for you to survive and even though experiencing loss is inevitable but you do try out your best to be in profits

They are treating it as business, so they would do everything to succeed, they are not like us who are just a typical gambler with a one time bankroll and think that we have to win today and come back tomorrow to win again. No, they have a good mindset and they treat gambling as a long term job and expect a realistic profit, of course they accept loses as well.

The idea of Gambling as a profession is quite a vast idea or in general. We can narrow it down in just a simple question of, does anyone makes gambling a profession or job? Yes. Definitely there are some person who are playing gambling for living. We can consider the owners of a club as a gambling professionals that conducted and being the host were gambling are played in. These kind of profession isn't that profession that is teach in school but teach in reality. In gambling you need to consider to think of strategies that will  help you to win. These owners of gambling casinos are also players before or still now. They played before and seek also to earn a lot of profit by gambling. Very few and just quitely enjoying how they bank out from the gamling house.

There are experienced gamblers who manage to find the right patterns and cntinue to learn more about enhancing their strategy, you can't just relied with one as house will be manage to find it out and adjust, gamblers needs to make sure that they are updated from time to time.

The casino can get rid of them, and even if they can't do that, the casino can get another money from the other gamblers because those gamblers will spend so much money in the casino. It is a small chance for the casino to lose the money, and when they lose that money, they will get it back from the other gamblers. But I believe that there are professional gamblers who can make money from the casino for their living. Those gamblers have experience and skills to manage their money and for their living.

The pros as far as I know, they have a managers that help them get through events and such, I think it leans more on being a professional rather than business. I do not think that pros do not call it a job either but for me putting in effort and time to do something should be considered a job, if you want to survive as a pro player, I think that you should also portion your winnings into something that gives a growth like stocks, bonds, and cryptocurrency.

In my opinion, this people that are living out their life through gambling is the most ballsy type of people because every pro aims to get your money and anytime you could lose it.

When a person who gambles for a living becomes addicted to the activity, then this will cause serious problems and it can disrupt their lives because their time wasted on something risky, though they should be able to get money from gambling but instead risk losing their money.

Professional gamblers have every thing that they need in order to minimize their losses. We know that losing is inevitable in gambling but they have control if they are losing or winning. They see gambling as their main source of income and we can't blame them. Add also the part that they are passionate about gambling that is why they are spending money on it. If they love gambling then let them . Average gamblers?? Let them gamble and the casino owners and these professional gamblers will take their money.

We have these what we called a professional gambler that i guess were making gambling as their living or source of living. And no doubt that some of the gambler well considered it as their living because of the sudden wealth that gambling offers if ever you will going to win it. But as what gambling is all about, life here isn't winning as always as what we have wish for.

Well in some sort of gambling a gamblers need a skills or strategic plan while dealing on it like poker games but for me the meaning of gambling wasn't the risk that we are taking but also having the luck in our life.

I once tried to make gambling a source of income and hoped to make a living from gambling, but it didn't end well. The capital that I used
to gamble always ran out, even though I felt that I had tried various strategies, nothing worked. Surely if I make a profit if I continue playing
gambling again, it always ends in losses. From my experience, I conclude that gambling cannot be used as a profession, it is better just to be

There is no assurance that you will earn money in the gambling let just say that you are professional gambler they still losing money like professional poker player they have a lot of startegy and they know how to bluff the players but sometimes they did not useful. Gambling is not a profession for me unless you are owner of the gambling casino you wll buy your needs and wants because you will get a lot of profit but if you are player it is not, it is better to find a real job because gambling is not source of income.

There are other areas in which gambling is used as profession but they are not literally gamblers.


Like those Casino Dealers ,some of them studied and Make that skills as profession ,before the computer aged casino comes ,dealers are the Most payed skill worker of casinos,and they are really making money out of gambling.

But if this is about the Betting professionals ?There are few that successful and doing this to make a luxurious living , though they are very Few and all of them are Great in self controlling and Money management.

I know person out there who treat gambling as profession wherein they are focusing to earn money than to get enjoyment and entertainment. For me what they are doing is hard but it is their profession afterall which only means that they work hard to learn a lot and gained experiences that they can use to decide very well. I asked them on how they earn consistently through gambling, most of their answers are they have edge from other gamblers which means that they know how to understand and play the game. A lot of gamblers are keep losing because they do not have any edge when they are doing gambling.

Well, we need to find out if the so called professional gamblers have other jobs in real life that augments to the money that they earn in gambling. There are many professional gamblers that I think do not have jobs, but they have the skill in managing their assets and wealth as such that they were able to live the life they want, and still have the money to pay for the gambling. They have superb discipline not to over spend and also ambitious.

As a gambler I don't think so, as an operator yes they can make money out of gambling, bounty hunters are also making money from promoting gambling site but from gambling, only operators can make money, but players it's hard to make money from gambling, you can win sometimes but most of the time you break even or lose a lot.

Using the words can only means no chance for a gambler to make money, I disagree with that, we already know that gambling sites makes money, that is given but that doesn't mean they don't experience loses, the reality is they have loses but they are still profitable in the end, so no matter if some gamblers are making money from them as long as they are profitable in overall, not a problem with them.
