Barcelona are a lot better now with the additions acquired this summer. Their preseason games is just a test of their readiness and quality for the coming season and so far they are showing a very high level of improvement. They looked much more composed in their attack and in defense against their core rivals in their friendly game and at this point I agree to the opinion that they look much more contenders than Real Madrid.

I see the schedule after those 2 matches, would enter the La Liga schedule yes Barcelona - Rayo Vallecano and Real Sociedad - Barcelona, after that there was still the last friendly match Barcelona - Manchester City, but I don't think it is interesting because it is a friendly matches. Well Against NYRB tomorrow Barcelona should have won easily, so I think they can do it and New York Red Bulls are not as strong as Barcelona previous opponent "Juventus", the chances of winning are also high.

This issue of Barcelona owing player's salaries or wages is not cool, especially for a big club like Barcelona. I mean, if this case goes to court it will not be good for Barcelona and the kind of name it bears as a football club. Barcelona seems brave enough to take big risks to buy players like Lewandowski, Jules Kunde and also Raphinha. They are players who cost more than 40 million and I don't know how Barcelona will get that kind of money if they don't sell their broadcasting rights. Then from that, the deal with Dembele and the signings of Frank Kessie and Crhistensen are also impressive things from Barcelona. They want to overhaul their squad and they have proven that financial problems don't have to bind them.

In fact, Barcelona now have enough players to help them compete with Real Madrid. The current squad looks more stable than last season because there are a number of experienced players who accompany Barcelona's youth academy players. I have seen a summary of the exhibition game between Barcelona and Juventus. That match ended in a 2-2 draw. That in itself is not that special, but the 2 goals of Barcelona were scored by Dembele and they were both real world goals. If Dembele continues to play as well as he did yesterday then Barcelona will be a lot further along than people initially thought. Juventus don't have bad defenders after all. It was a practice match but this was a good preparation for the competition. I hope somewhere that we will once again see the Barcelona that used to be unbeatable.

As I read on different places most chances this match will be happened and accurate date is 25 August 2022 because after this they are going to play against Rayo Vallecano on 28 August, so possibility is on for this match. Now we have very few days with early start of this season and heat is going on for title race very early because top teams already done their homework with few challengers are also in with their tactics for creating problems.

Now Barcelona is having two Friendly matches one against NYRB with is going to be easy game for them with home team is not strong enough for them and they can thrash them by score of 3 - 0 or 4 - 0 after this match they are going to Mexico for their last Friendly match before start of regular season here in Spain.

€153m spent this summer with a total deficit of €130m make me wonder how far they will go with salaries and stuff.. This without counting the possible arrival of other players!
Looking at Barcelona salaries right now, it is €285m annually with 10% of it goes to De Jong alone. Even Dembele and Fati wages are less than him, and Barca still hold him. With one of the highest salaries in the world and crap finance as they claimed over and over, I wonder know how they could afford it and whether there will be repercussions in the next seasons..

Barcelona's change is a threat to Real Madrid, especially after their second meeting a few days ago. Real Madrid's La Liga and Champions League titles this season have made Ancelotti confident with the current team, therefore they haven't made too many changes to the team, although some positions still look weak.

I hope Ancelotti fixes their defence, the arrival of Rudiger is still not enough to strengthen their defence. The loss to Barcelona was a note for Real Madrid before La Liga start.

By Real Madrid's standards, I think the defense is OK. I don't recall a time Real Madrid invested heavily in defense. I agree with you, barcelona has had very good progress so far. They were able to submerge Real Madrid in a friendly that was a pretty fantastic win in this pre-season, even I think that victory will be able to raise the spirit of Xavi team to welcome the upcoming season. That's correct @CryptoPanda Barcelona had good games especially with them both games against Juventus and  Real Madrid. The boys are having closely related amongst themselves. Lewandoski and Fait seems to have started generating a bond between them both already.

So, they either accept that risk and get a job there and play their heart out to win something, or else they are going to be in a club that they signed with which doesn't have the money to pay them anymore. That's a risk I wouldn't take as a football player at that level, these are all huge names and instead of getting 5, you could get 3.5 and instead of having a possibility of 5 not being paid, you could guarantee that 3.5 instead.
