I was a little surprised by how successful Barcelona actually got Lewandowski, because of the many difficulties they went through trying to sign the now former Bayern Munich striker. In the end they feel the joy of being really successful in this transfer market. Xavi now has many options that he will apply in attack, of course this is an advantage for him.

I very much agree with this. The reason why Barca is pushing because they want to make their financial position better. And with Barcelona having financial problems, it is possible that they might have problem giving him better contract or at worse unable to pay him wages in full. De Jong currently at this point can't have both - to pay for the club and take the usual wages. He has to choose one. Yes he has right to make personal decisions but someday in future if situation remains the same then he has to make a decision then also.

Still I think Barca is kinda putting veil on some things with their financial situation. They want him to reduce his wages but can make world class signings? That's kinda put some questions. I am not so sure how much they are paying to the new signings but these new signings will for sure will be still putting a good amount of load in wages.

The positioning of Lewandowski has been lacking in Barcelona. I think this is a huge signing because he is so good in space and so well positioned in the box. I hope Lawandonski's performance will remain unchanged despite his age. For the upcoming season for Barca, I wish them the best of luck. Even if you have a collection of the best tools in the world, how good are you at using them is what matters most.

No doubt how improvement from Barcelona after success get several player like Franck Kessié, Raphinha and Robert Lewandowski, but I am not sure what transfer activities did by Barcelona most perfect. They have forget what happen with defwnder area, I know he has success get Andreas Christensen with free transfer from Chelsea but this player not get regular position, beside Barcelona still have weakness on right and left side of defender area. Well, that finance is the biggest obstacle for Barcelona. I also doubt that in the middle of next season the club can overcome this even though there are many loyal players, Barcelona have to find or receive a lot of sponsors, grateful if there are big investors. Yeah they are very much confident. Just a few days ago, Ancelotti when asked about further signings he said that they don't think they are gonna sign more as they feel their squad is complete after signing Tchouameni and Rudiger. This shows manager having full confidence in the squad for the next full season. Real Madrid are pumped up now with the way they have won CL making comebacks after comebacks and it will bring same spirit in new signings as well.

Barcelona have made some very good signings and I am sure Barca are gonna do better start this season. It will be good contest between Barca and Madrid in this season.
