I am grateful that in the end Real Madrid was able to maintain its winning record today. Atlético Madrid played rough today where several times I saw them commit violent fouls against Real Madrid players, but fortunately no player was harmed by this violent act.

They had less possession, 1:8 corners and only three shots on target and guess what, of those three they scored two (without Benzema). They are fine without him and even when he comes back it remains to be seen whether he can seamlessly continue scoring as he used to in the recent past.

ATM failure in Champions League vs Leverkusen which is having a terrible start in their national league made many people sceptical about them being a rival to Real Madrid. I agree that there is always a doubt about ATM games and some think that they could make it but not this time.

a title is almost obligatory for Barcelona this year after a terrible season they had before, and i see a lot of people are expecting them to win a lot, some even said the Champions League which i think won't happen, even La Liga is tough for them now because Real Madrid doesn't seem to know how to stop winning matches, they are like a goal machine right now, even a tough team like ATM couldn't stop them.

I would agree more if the OP said that Real Madrid struggled to score in Benzema's absence. This seems more appropriate, because if we look at last season, Real Madrid did lose their sharpness when they were not reinforced by Benzema. I wouldn't say they are always winless, but it's hard to score goals.
And in this match, Rodrigo's role as a substitute for Benzema worked well.

There was no doubt that Real Madrid played extremely well in that match. It was a really good first half for them. It was great to see young players coming forward to demonstrate the quality of their passing as well as their individual pace and skills that they possess as well. However, towards the end of the match, Atletico Madrid was almost able to recover and make a comeback in the match.

Having said that, I must admit that the red card that was given at the end of the match was an unnecessary one.

In any case, Real Madrid still holds the lead at the top of the table. There will be a lot of interest in the upcoming game to see if Barcelona can once again climb back to the top of the table. There is no doubt it won't be easy for Barcelona.
