If Messi comes back to Barcelona next season I'm pretty sure that he would do his best for the team. I don't think that Xavi would change his strategies to build a game based on him. But he would surely find the right place for him in the starting eleven.

His current performance level at PSG is definitely enough for the team. As long as he keeps this up regularly they will stay strong against every team they face in the Champions League. After having a very productive season I wonder if Barcelona will try their luck by making an offer. Actually they have the biggest credit for Messi already as long as they agree terms with him about a contract.

If Messi comes back to Barcelona I won't be expecting much from him because when Messi was in Barcelona he  played a major role for Barcelona and this time around I don't expect we can still expect that great performance from him because right now he is kind of advanced,  he may not give his best to Barcelona.

Andreas Christensen he a man in a defend position is also the best option for Barcelona at the moment, I think Xavi will play him for sure when another defender gets injured. Regarding Pique although he has problems, but I am sure he will play professionally, he is aware that Barcelona fought really hard when Xavi was in lead.

But he would have to be very patient because Barcelona has some quality defenders. Yeah Pique might be not be fast because of his age, but he is very experienced. Although, Christensen claimed he wanted to move out of Chelsea to face new challenges, but I don't think Barcelona was the right club for him this season. He would have remained in Chelsea until there is a first team vacancy in the Barcelona defense. Now he has to wait until a player is injured because he could be guaranteed of a first team shirt.

Agree with what you said, Messi's era at Barcelona is over and obviously when he comes back it will create a new competition between players especially Raphinha who is currently always giving good performances.
on the other hand when this happens then Barcelona's dependence which is their problem will come back to the players considering Messi was the backbone for several seasons in their golden era and this is definitely not very good.
