La Liga is not easy and very tough for mediocre teams. With the presence of Real Madrid and Barcelona, these average teams thinks they're capable of withstanding the pressure coming their path? I like the project Girona is building. It's slow and it's steady. They're ready to take the long road and it will pay off if they keep at it. They need to build a team that would be a regular in Europe first before talking about building a team that will be a "top team". It doesn't have to be the Champions League alone, the Europa is a competition to build experience and confidence. Keep growing. Learn how to fight for a top 5 spot regularly, and know what it means. A major problem Girona is going to have is La Liga's financial restrictions and FFA. If they were in a league like the EPL, the league would even back them to sign players. Girona have good players in their team, they played very well in the beginning and then they fell behind Real Madrid and Barcelona in the points table.  However, Girona's quality of play is still quite good.  So expect something better from them in the next season. The way they played at the start of the series looked like they might be going to beat the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona this year but they failed.
