According to reports from Spain,Phiippe Coutinho have been offered the much coveted Lionel Messi's shirt number#10 for the new season.Although Coutinho is expected to take a pay cut,he has been seen as the person that can carry on the mantle that Lionel Messi left before going to PSG.

Sounds great for Coutinho but I'm not sure if he deserve it because he's not Barcelona's best signing so far in my opinion. I feel there are other players who still deserve the number 10 shirt after Messi moved on and that's not Coutinho. I want Barcelona to rest that number until one of their academy players deserves it. They should inherit that number to a player who really deserves it.

Indeed, Alaves were beaten by Madrid in the first match but one thing we have to pay attention to is, Madrid did not win with a clean sheet. I even think the opposite with you, because I think the match between Alaves and Malorca will be quite an exciting match, because both teams have not been able to win in their inaugural match, Alaves who lost against Madrid will certainly make Malorca a revenge event, as well as malorrca, who drew in their first game, will certainly take advantage of the match to improve their position in the La Liga standings.

Are you serious? I know there are superstitions about the 13th issue ... but I didn't think that something like this could apply to other numbers.

The rumors about Coutinho's number seem delusional to me. However, there is nothing wrong with it. I don’t think Arsenal is still interested in Philippe Coutinho's deal. Although earlier this week Barcelona were preparing a swap deal that would see the Brazilian head to Arsenal in exchange for Pierre Aubameyang, Buh I don’t think the deal is still on regarding the fact that Messi has left to Paris Saint Germans, so Barcelona must have decided to retain Coutinho after all.

Coutinho has not played up to Barcelona's expectation since being bought from Liverpool. Once on loan at Bayern Munich and returned to Barcelona without change which was quite good. Last season he didn't get much playing time under Koeman. So I don't see him as a player who deserve the number 10 and I agree for the time being that number should be kept.

I ve seen the second half betis dominated the game they were the better side and they have the potential and the quality players today draw was because of that quick first goal scored by the penalty in the 10 minute it was a defensive mistake and that affected the team i think but its just a beginning i am sure they will get better.

This season they only brought David Alaba and had to be willing to lose their two strong defenders (Sergio Ramos and Raphael Varane). So If this condition does not change until the transfer window closes then Carlo Ancelotti will have to fight extra hard to bring Real Madrid to compete for the title.

Losing those two strongest centre backs is very disappointing. Even worse, Real Madrid didn't sign any single player at the same position, I mean a pure CB. You are absolutely correct and what I see about Coutinho is that his position in the club is still unknown I don't if others feel the same but as $crypto$ presume, the number 10 jersey could bring the best in him because he may have the feels of a huge responsibility to carry and work hard in his training.

Sure they won a couple of games afterwards to show their fans and everyone that the team is still in good shape but that notwithstanding, we all know how things have been with Madrid since Ronaldo left. They've struggled in all major competitions - La liga, Champions league and others. Messi's absence might not be felt for a while but I know that in the long run, it will.

I think the game had a draw written all over it in my opinion, I just didn't expect a scoring draw. However, Real Betis were indeed the better side over the stretch of 90 minutes, both teams had quite the chance to even steal a win very late into game, but at the I guess it wasn't meant to be and it means both team has drawn their first games of the season with the same score line.
