Bale can play better than many other players. In the season 2020 - 2021, with limited appearances, Bale still scored lots of goals and he now can play very good as a striker. The problems with Bale are from himself mostly. He does not really concentrate on football and he does not want to continue his career more.

James has amazing World Cup 2014 and it is a tournament brought him to the world, and to Real Madrid. James plays well with Ancelotti but since the appearance of Zidane, he lost his position in the club and had to move to Bayern Munich then Everton. Zidane help Real Madrid won 3 Champions League and a few La Liga so Perez does not have big issue with Zidane. Players have conflicts with Zidane have to leave the club first.

I thought Real Madrid would give young players from their school a chance in the main team, and one more season they would keep themselves away from fighting for the trophy and build on the experience of the players under Ancelloti. If you see Madrid are not aggressive maybe your statement is correct. Indeed, there are some young players who are quite potential and deserve to move up to the senior team. We should also remember that they "sold" Varane as well, which means they could still use that money to get another defender if they think the same way as everyone here.
