If this is true, hopefully Messi will let Neymar and Griezmann carry some of the workload and responsibility.

I don't think that will happen anytime soon. Messi is like a god in Barcelona. I even have a feeling he influences the signing of players into Barcelona somehow.

The only thing that could force responsibility and workload to shift to Neymar(if he was signed) and Griezmann is maybe if Messi started getting injuries which would force him out of a number of games but we all know how rarely Messi gets injured.

With Messi's current age, it's just a matter of time before he decides to retire from the game and i think Barcelona were wise enough to think of the team Post Messi era and that's why they are re-signing Neymar and have brought in younger talents like Griezmann and Ousmane Dembele to ensure the future of their team.

Barcelona must think about it. If someday Messi is injured again or even retired. With the return of Neymar to Barcelona, of course, will have a big impact later on for each game. Barcelona is very good with Griezmann and Dembele.

Replacing Lionel Messi would need lots of talent and also psychological. The team over the years has grown heavily dependent on him and his absence would leave a very big space. And talent wise it would be almost impossible to get a player that would give the team what he does.

It is true, that Barcelona must think in the future. Can not just hope to messi, someday messi will retire. Will Barcelona be sad and always lose the match if Messi retires? Of course not, this is why you should think now if messi is retired. Barcelona without messi is still the barcelona I know.

Neymar messed up somewhere somehow. I don't even see him as Ballon D'or material. He is like one of those people who were so brilliant and had a very promising future when they were young, but then they let the limelight and fame distort there focus.

I also don't like his character sometimes on and off pitch. I mean the move to PSG was even never supposed to happen. If he wanted to become Messi's heir at Barcelona, he was just supposed to stay, learn from him then in a few years he would be the main man...but nah, Ney choose fame and money.

As  for Ousmane Dembele, that kid is a loss for Barca. He will be loaned out a couple of times, and then he will leave after Barca realize he is just a liability

Yup they lost. Messi's absence usually affects them in one way or the other. If his absence stretches a little longer, i think they may drop a few more points.

I do not have much knowledge about Spanish clubs but it's basic thing that depending on only one player is not very good strategy. I noticed last year Barca was way ahead than other teams. Were they same like this season, I mean heavily depended on Messi only?

I think Barcelona and Athletico Madrid will dominate the top board and compete fiercely, because the two clubs at the pre-season game was amazing. What's more when athletico managed to hook one of the young stars from Portugal, Jo Felix, by showing a fantastic game.

Not watching the match but after seeing your post just checked the score. It's still 0 - 0 after 33 minutes. Statistics is saying Sevilla is dominating the match. Is it the same in the filed? Sevilla was one of the CL team last season if I am not wrong.

I do not think so, There are really clubs that will compete strongly this season, Despite the strong performance of Athletic and Barcelona last year, Nowadays there are clubs that can stop the dominance of Barcelona and Atletico

I think Barcelona will continue to dominate the Spanish league this year, with the arrival of Griezmann making Barcelona stronger and playing more attractive. Moreover, the front trio of Suarez Messi plus Griezmann is very deadly. Real Madrid will find it difficult to compete this season, I'm sure of that.

Lol, this actually made me laugh hard, I think you say this because dembele + cash has been included in almost all the offers PSG have been getting from Barcelona.
I honestly am starting to doubt some of the ridiculous offers that are over the internet this days, I think some of them are simply outrageous and Neymar to me, isn't worth any of that stress.

Dembele came into the team with a lot of promise, but rightfully he hasn't replicated the form Barcelona expected of him when they splashed out the money they did to acquire him, I think some of the blame will have to go to valverde, I do not think he has managed the kid pretty well, he is young and has a future ahead of him, whether in Barcelona or not.

Favorite Club

Barcelona for me. I like them because of Messi.

Without Messi it's very hard for them to dominate the season. Barca did not have a good start but I think they will be the La Liga champion this year too.

Sevilla vs Celta Vigo: Drew
Both goals were scored after 80 minutes. Within 5 minutes Celta Vigo equalized and killed the dream for Sevilla to get whole three points.

The main problem with him is attitude. Dembele is behaving like a worse version of Neymar and ne there is no signs that he is going to change. Sad to see such talent being wasted.

Having a great skill with poor attitude won't get you anywhere, this has been mentioned many times, not only in football.

Not if Real can get better. Last year they suck so bad so that Barca don't have to be at their best to win the league.

It will be interesting if they compete until the last match just like City and Liverpool last year.

They were playing well during the match.
Finally they scored the first goal in the match (a little bit late) but still I managed to win my bet. However, they didn't manage to win the match as Celta scored a goal before the end of the match, finishing to a 1-1.

Well, with last night's results it looks like there is only one team left capable of getting a perfect start to the season with 9 points is the one some people are counting on to break the Real/Barca dominance.

I'm Barca all the way but if we're too lax, that's exactly what's going to happen. Osasuna here we come.

Real Madrid has to triumph against Villarreal on Monday. Zidan's team was disturbed by Vallodolid on the last matchday. But to win La Liga consistency is very important and Zidane wants to focus on Laliga this season. Hazard could make his debut against Villarreal and I think the team needs him the most.

Barcelona would meet Osasuna today. I heard the Barca team traveled without Messi and Valverde don't want to take the risk upon Messi. However, Griezmann, Suarez, Dembele will be on the pitch and I expect Barca would make an easy win over Osasuna

He doesn't seem actually serious to me in all honesty, Even when he moved to France, Mbaape has shown himself to be a more disciplined and matured player than Neymar and look at Mbaape age, when either Messi or Ronaldo retires,  I think the likes of Hazard and Mbaape are going to dominate.
