Thanks for your congratulations nelson4lov but I don't think I was the only one to expect this kind of result, odds were really tight between Sevilla and Atletico as I said above, so even if I am not a big aficionado of spanish soccer I didn't believe in a easy win for Madrid. I don't think having a big incentive to win is enough to easily get the victory otherwise all teams would win which is impossible.

You're welcome.   Talking about the Sevilla vs Madrid game. The same way you were expecting Atlético not to win easily, it's the same way myself and maybe others too wasn't expecting the outcome to be a loss.  Talking about how having an incentive isn't enough to win a game, I think it does not necessarily to be in all matches. There are matches where team spirit is high and they're motivated as a team to achieve a common goal and end up doing just that. I think that's why it's called a competition. If Atlético really wanted to win, they should have. Odds will always be odds too. There's no concrete way of telling which events would occur and which events won't.

Let's not discount the professional level of a club like Sevilla, which, although it does not claim the title, is in 4th place in the standings, although I certainly did not expect that Atletico would lose this match, and not play in a draw, for example. The El Clásico match between Real Madrid and Barcelona could be one of the most decisive points in the league race this season. To be honest, in the beginning, I thought this would be one of Atlético Madrid's easiest season's to Lift the La Liga but how they blew the huge lead to just a few points still amazes me to this day.

Atletico is repeating what Barcelona did in the past season. They lost many points in the second half of this season. Quite a surprise to see Barcelona come back and if they win one more match to have same total played match as Atletico and Real Madrid, they will move to the second position and with only one point less than Atletico Madrid.

Time to face with huge pressure from two opponents for Atletico. They might end the season with empty hands. They was beaten by Chelsea in Champions League weeks ago.

In personal title race, Suarez lost the first spot to Messi.

Atletico still have few points ahead two opponents but the problems for them is bad form and bad mentality. If they lose their first position, they might not be able to get it back. They need to keep it at least in the next 3 or 4 match days in order to build up their confidence back.

The battle for the La Liga title is becoming fierce again, and this will be an interesting spectacle for La Liga lovers.

In my opinion, who will be the champion is not only determined by the results of the matches between Real Madrid vs Barcelona and Barcelona vs Atletico Madrid because, at the end of the season like this, there will be more need for extra performance and more focus, while the players and the team as a whole are certainly not in 100% form anymore.

So either Atletico, Barcelona, and Real Madrid all have a great chance of winning La Liga because they have a small difference in points.

Barca's game against Atletico is obviously crucial. If they win that, they're 1 point behind, with a game in hand and a much superior goal difference. Atletico's loss to Sevilla came at a really bad time, when Barca are in great form and closing fast. The fight for the league title is likely to go right to the end of the season... but are Barca perhaps now favourites?

As Real Madrid won their game against Eibar with a 2-0 score, they are only 3 points behind Atletico now. Barcelona are going to play their game against Valladolid tomorrow but they will most probably win also. So, Atletico will be under a big pressure of these two teams before their game. But they aren't a team that can't handle this pressure. I feel like they will manage to beat Sevilla with a 1 goal difference.

This is, by far, the most important time for Real and Zidane's season. There are both chances of winning the league now (40%) and winning Champions League (30%). Considering how their season started Madrid can be quite content with it's been achieved up to now. Do you think Madrid can win the league?

the difference between atletico madrid and real madrid is only 3 points, there are still more than 7 games to be played and from what i see real madrid, atletico madrid and barcelona have chances to be champions. in the case of real madrid will have to beat barcelona, then will have to beat sevilla and cannot lose the remaining games. Barcelona has a little easier life like atletico madrid. but honestly in my opinion it was already a good season that real madrid did, they managed to get very far in the champions league even with poor performance

Next week Barca and Madrid will meet. This match can determine Madrid's chances of pursuing Atletico points. If Atletico lose their match, Barca and Madrid will be the determinant of the provisional leader of La Liga. As for the prediction of chances, Real Madrid have a tighter schedule, maybe they will be tired. Barca has a little schedule maybe Barca has better stamina. But I think there will be an exciting match later. The draw might be a little fair.

So the dream looks like it's coming now with less than 10 games for most of the teams. A three horse race with only La Liga to fight for for one, and Champions League distraction for another, and a first crown in a long time for the current leader.

Barcelona host relegation threatened Real Valladolid tonight; in what i think will end in a sneak win for Barcelona, which will make them move second.
This weekend, Atletico would have to hope that the El clasico ends in a draw while they win; but i think Real Madrid will win this weekend.

I can't believe that ATM is giving away their own championship. I mean they had everything they wanted and a great point difference as well, with today's game that could be 1 point difference and I am certain that they will lose that as well. Team that had the chance to be the champions and even have like a 10 point difference, ended up with just 1 point difference and that is just a big ball drop from them, they could have been celebrating their championship in a few weeks if they played well but they screwed up.

Barcelona is doing great, they are doing marvelous and they are not going to let this chance go to waste, easy bet there and I think it is going to be very easy for them to become champions as well, I do not see ATM never losing points from here, they will lose some more, they may even end up being third in the league if they keep this up.

Crazy how the worse Barcelona in la Liga in years, a team that was 14 points behind Atletico, could finish this matchweek just 1 point behind the league leaders. Simeone, highest paid manager in the world, and Atletico Madrid truly are the king of bottlers. But props to Barcelona for never giving up, goes to show the difference in mentality between both teams despite one of them going through some really turbulent times before the season started.

And in the last 5 matches against Valladolid, Messi has scored 4 goals and 4 assists. Even today, I hope Messi will be able to score and help Barcelona to get 3 valuable points. Barcelona should defeat Valladolid today, and then they will be just one point behind Atletico, which greatly increases their chances of winning the championship. ATM ruined its advantage very badly. Now they have to wait for Barca to drop 2 points at best vs Valladolid (I doubt) then hope to see Barca getting a draw vs Madrid in their next game.. and obviously they have to win against it next month.. What a mess Simeone

Pretty unlucky for Barcelona to not score in the first half where they dominated the possession(as always) and also the shots/shots on target. It should still be an easy win for them but they need to be careful a bit. Since, Valladolid have kept their defense pretty solid and have not let their opponents score more than 1 goal in the past 5 matches. Even RM managed to get a close 1:0 win at Valladolid.
