Funny thing is, Sevilla is not that far behind, they are only 2 points behind which means that if Barcelona loses there is a chance that Sevilla could get the third spot and Barcelona could be dropped to fourth spot and that seems like the most possible situation at this level. I am sure it is not really anything that people would expect a team like Barcelona to drop that further down but it is a possibility.

I know, people have been talking about them coming up slowly and you're right, mathematically they could even sneak up but for all three teams above them to lose? I think that's a reality that only the most diehard fan will consider. Still, if it happens, it will be the story of the season and will be probably the most famous season of the century;)

@Iranus I personally feel that had Koeman been backed in the transfer windows then Barcelona would have fared much better, and he’s absolutely right to be unhappy about the negative media scrutiny that he’s been getting. Furthermore it’s difficult to say which of the two Madrid team will step up their game tonight, and there’s a sad news too that Zidane is leaving at the end of the season, and I wonder how much impact this news will have on Real Madrid’s performance in the remaining two games.

After Barcelona couldn't even beat Levante, they gave up the league I believe. And they don't have much chance left for the championship also. For a long time, Barcelona had a really awesome win streak. It helped them climb to this position in the table. But something started to go wrong for them and here we are seeing them in a bad condition.

Well, the team with Zidane is way better than before, so I wouldn't blame him for having an unstable defence line and not very consistent attack one. He needs someone like Mbappe and some changes in the defence.
I read 2 weeks ago that he will join Juve but it seems they think now about Allegri and Gasperini too. Could Juve afford his salary in addition to CR7 one? Think not.

I think the main problem for Zidane is that his key players are old and can't stand the difficult pace of all the competitions in which Real participates.
Just look at Modric at the age of 35, who has to play all the time because Zidane has no real replacement for him.
I think that Zidane is already mentally exhausted and tired and that he can no longer continue with his work.

That Granada loss must have been really unacceptable for Barcelona. I also think that it was the game which ended them in this season. While there were a few games left, I didn't get how they made a really huge mistake like that.

I recall reading something about Zidane and coaching the French national team. In fact, Zidane wants to do it and Deschamps wants Zidane to succeed him too.
