I don't think that Real Sociedad's third place gives it the status of some special opponent, especially considering that the game will be at the Santiago Bernabeu. I would have to say he wasn't that player long ago, they had Ronaldo and that means they didn't need anyone to be a great goal scorer like Benzema because they had one anyway, and now that he is gone, for the past 2-3 years Benzema has been getting attention suddenly, normally he was a talented player before these years as well but he wasn't utilized this way, hell he was considered to be sold for a while as well but thankfully he stayed.
