Ancelotti took too long to bring in Luka Modric and Camavinga. Those guys did bring some quality to the game and what a great did of effort from Modric in picking Asensio out in what could have been a great assist should Asensio have converted it. It was a great tactic he used and a very difficult one and was executed good except, the goalkeeper was watchful and made a good save of it.

The focus is now on Copa del Rey and UEFA Champion's League. Most of the time, player are going to be reserved for those matches. If you are wise, do not put your money on Real Madrid to win any remaining la Liga matches.

Real Madrid performance in Copa was really incredible defeating Barcelona. They focus more on the match and had big efforts on it. But on the other hand, in La Liga, it seems that they don't put high care or attention or focus. They lost to Villarreal 2 - 3 when playing at home. They actually had several chances but they lost them. Actually, they must be more careful also even in La Liga and even if they are not able to take over the first place. because the point difference with Atletico Madrid in the third place is very small. real madrid performance in the copa del rey match was quite extraordinary by successfully taking advantage of the second leg by successfully coming back after they lost in the first leg.  the 0-4 score ended the match which made real madrid advance to the final against osasuna. indeed real madrid on paper will be able to beat osasuna because the quality of these two teams will be the main thing that makes me sure real madrid will win the copa del rey this season.

I agree with you, the coach knows the power every player has and their ability to give their best on the ground. I meant if it's not caused by pau torres who has been making their own goal and madrid will only get 1 score. Pau torres was stupid enough. So many people were getting lost in this match caused by they were picking madrid and me too. That's unacceptable performance by real madrid for me to be honest. The chance for madrid to compete in la liga is zero right now.

I wonder what thing that makes real madrid's performance has been declining so hard. Villareal is not as strong as barcelona but why real madrid is always trying so hard when it was facing a weak club like that?
