Barcelona's current position is not only encouraging; they need to work harder to improve their position in the standings. And Gavi is also confirmed to be absent until this season ends or around 10 months. Fortunately, Barcelona's position in the Champions League is quite good. Because after yesterday's success in beating Porto in the 5th match of the group stage, it is certain that Barcelona will qualify for the next stage, namely the Round of 16. I know some people are going to think that I am just defending Xavi but I think Barcelona cannot afford to actually lose any player because of injury. And even though that is not the best thing to do for Barcelona right now, I think he simply does not have too many choices.  The performance of Barcelona does not feel like up to the mark right now. If anything, I am actually more impressed by the performance of Atletico Madrid this season.

I mean considering how amazing he has managed the team, I would say it is definitely understandable why they did that. When this season is over it will be 2024, so that means we are talking about 3 more seasons after this, a total of 3.5 more seasons he will be there. I am not sure if that is a good thing or a bad thing, it is good because we are talking about more stability in the team and having the same manager means it gives them the right amount of time to keep it going.

However, at the same time we are talking about a situation that could be a little bit different, like how they could totally end up with a situation that could be fully "I have the contract anyway so I do not have to care anymore" and could be an issue.
