I do agree that what Girona brought to La Liga is definitely great, a lot of leagues have the same teams at the top at all times, and rarely we see new teams end up doing well enough. They were leading the league at one point too, not for too long but that was still a quite big achievement and I believe that Girona adding some flavour to la liga definitely made it more fun.

In the end, it is once again Real winning and Barcelona at second place, the rankings could change but those two are almost always in the top two, which means that did not change this season, and that's understandable. However, we are seeing Girona adding some chaos in the mix during the season, at least the first half they were doing much better in the end.

 Xavi has been a good manager at the Spanish side, even though they've had some shaky situations, they've just found a way to cover up lapses and make necessary coverings to the loopholes. It's very much good that they were able to put in good effort regardless of what they lacked to good team building. Nonetheless, Xavi would have still done better than he's already done.

 Well, his days with the team are technically numbered and he's got some commendations which he definitely deserves. I don't know what to say about his intended replacement but all I'll say is Barcelona as a team has work to be done and I'd love to see the new Barcelona in seasons and games to come. Yeah Girona is in the spotlight for their achievements, last season Girona finished in 10th place but this season they are competing for 2nd place imagine 2 elite teams like Barcelona and Atletico Madrid having difficulty chasing them and even though we know they don't have expensive players, Girona really reminds me of Leicester City a few years ago came as a promoted team but was able to win the title and Girona almost did the same it's just that Real Madrid didn't provide a place.
