That's what NATO's been waiting for - the acts of revenge that can suddenly get broadcast in Western media, touted as acts of aggression, excusing NATO invasion. For earlier examples, see Yugoslavia.

His taxes currently are being used by Kiev for paying mercenaries, so it would be unsafe to keep status quo if you wish to win this game. Sometimes you have to make move even if it looks bad.

That's not quite right, because this approximation include his shares and other assets. The most of his property located here. So in case of confiscation this approximation will drop significantly due to losing control on assets and dropping shares value.

It's very simple... If somebody earns money on your territory and uses this money against you through paying the mercenaries, then you have to bring the situation to your control.
