Any news on the launch date yet?
I took part in the beta and am looking forward to trading some real BTC on the platform. Have been waiting for a decent bitcoin betting exchange for far too long...

hi meliquiades, thanks for taking part in the beta! We are also very much looking forward to launch and seeing the exchange fill up with BTC liquidity. The feedback we got on the beta was great, and to be honest, it feels like the core product we have now is more or less ready to go, after a few tweaks based on beta feedback. However, launch depends not just on the product, but also on having all regulatory hurdles cleared, and getting the final stamp from all appropriate partners and authorities. Watch this space for more news as we have it!

Or, better still, sign up for our newsletter at exbet.io It’s unfortunate that I missed the opportunity to take part in beta testing. But still, I would like to know these moments, why do you have, apart from Twitter, no longer any public relations, such as Telegram? In my opinion, the official group of your project should be in order to announce information and to communicate with potential customers online. In addition, how will it be possible to find information about what the results of beta testing turned out to be?

We hope you will check out exbet.io when we launch. Good question about Telegram. Right now we have only Twitter, this thread on bitcointalk, and our email newsletter. We think that is probably enough channels to communicate before launch.. but Telegram is a possiblity. Other people have asked about a Telegram channel, so we will give it careful consideration. Great that you are interested in the beta testing results and feedback, we will share a summary with everyone when ready.

exbet.io Beta Feedback #1: Selected questionnaire answers
We want to share some of the feedback you all gave us on the exbet.io beta. We're going to do it in 3 steps. First, some answers from the questionnaire:
Overall beta rating: 4.1 stars out of 5
What did you like most about exbet.io beta? It looked good, and worked! Simple & clean Ability to use crypto Simple to use Site simplicity No bugs - nice job!
What did you like least about exbet.io beta? Hard to understand the difference between Back and Lay Needs more markets to bet on. 12 character limit on password field is weak Not enough sports, would be good with Cricket, Tennis, Horse Racing Home page took a bit long to load
Was there a feature missing that you would like to see when exbet.io goes LIVE? Cross-matching No, it is good like this mostly. What about Cash Out? Live scores for matches I would like to see a guide to walk you through your first back and lay API to allow bots/market making scripts
What other sports/leagues would you like to see on exbet.io? Cricket cricket tennis Same as other exchanges like Betfair Esports Tennis, cricket, racing
What new types of markets would you like to see? Soccer - Over/Unders, 1st half betting, Asian handicap As many as major other exchanges Correct Score Teasers (US sports) ante post for all soccer, nfl etc

lol good start Simple & clean
true No bugs - nice job!
Not to be underestimated Was there a feature missing that you would like to see when exbet.io goes LIVE? Cross-matching
That was me Crossmatching is somewhat controversial on Betfair, not sure if there are really user benefits or if it's more just a way for bf to hoover up pennies on tight markets. API to allow bots/market making scripts
As per previous this this this What other sports/leagues would you like to see on exbet.io? Cricket cricket tennis Same as other exchanges like Betfair Esports Tennis, cricket, racing
Cricket cricket cricket lol. Certainly a decent trading sport. So... Any plans to support cricket cricket cricket?

Crossmatching is somewhat controversial on Betfair, not sure if there are really user benefits or if it's more just a way for bf to hoover up pennies on tight markets.
We think there are some good applications for cross-matching in the long term that allow for a simpler UX in binary markets. But Betfair went for years without implementing cross-matching and we don't see this as a priority for exbet.io until some time after launch. Cricket cricket cricket lol. Certainly a decent trading sport. So... Any plans to support cricket cricket cricket?
Not at launch, but we're currently looking at: (i) what is involved in supporting cricket at a product level (data, markets) (ii) what the demand is (easier to do after launch, but initial feedback has been positive as you see) (iii) ensuring sufficient liquidity in discussions with market makers

exbet.io Beta Feedback #2: General UX/UI commentsWe received a lot of feedback on the exbet.io user experience and the general look and feel. Lots of positive comments, but also some good feedback on areas we can improve: "I like the Profit/Loss feature a lot (for each Betting Market)" "Like the responsiveness of the deposit page" "The interface look is really good" "clean and intuitive UI" "in-play delay feels too long" "Clean crisp uncluttered by sh*t" "Sign-up page is a bit outdated" "betting data slow to load sometimes" "A triumph" "register email is boring design" "it is fast, it is up to date, it has everything I could need to play and bet" "i didnt expect to see a section of politics. thats a twist though! a good addition to loosen up a bit." "Home page is slow loading" "very simple design but it's clean" "like the color scheme" "Simple and decent design" And finally a Tweet, comparing exbet.io UI favorably with Betfair UI: https://twitter.com/exbetio/status/1179103110217834497

Beta testers came from this forum, but also from Twitter, and from our network of betting and crypto industry contacts. We have been building exbet.io for a long time behind the scenes. We are aiming to launch the site by the end of 2019. Fingers crossed we hit that, otherwise it will be early 2020. Thanks for your interest, carlfebz2.

exbet.io Beta Feedback #3: What we're working on now in response to user feedback...
Number one thing that has been requested and that we are working on is mobile version! We are looking forward to having an MVP to at least show screenshots of in the next week or two. Watch this space.
A selection of other items we are working on or evaluating further:
Home/Sports pages: Today's games should "stand out" more Home/Sports pages: Allow quick bets direct from this page Home/Sports pages: Leagues should be ordered (left men and tabs on List of Events) by liquidity expectations Home/Sports pages: The loading of your beta page is slow at the moment
Market page: Show Scores/Game time when in-play Market page: Show Flag/Badges/Logos next to team names Market page: Show market data - (i) all money on the orderbook (ii) matched amounts (as per Betfair) Market page: Add more sports and leagues Market page: Add new Soccer markets - Correct Score, 1st half bets, Handicaps, etc
My Bets: Matched Bets should give a link to the market, just like in Unmatched Bets
Betslip: When a bet is added, focus should be on Odds box immediately, with Odds highlighted Betslip: When in Stake box, hitting ENTER should submit bet Betslip: Allow user to opt out of Confirming Bets Betslip: Allow user to flag a bet so that it is not cancelled at In-play, but persists on orderbook Betslip: Bet placement speed improvements Betslip: Countdown for In-play delay Betslip: User can set a standard stake amount which is auto-entered in stake
Education: Have an on-boarding "site tour" or introduction guide (that can be skipped if user chooses) Education: FAQ section to be expanded
Login/Support: Have chat support on website Login/Support: Allow passwords longer than 12 characters
Social: Add trollbox Social. Add Telegram channel?

Looking through some of the beta feedback, we saw a lot of interest in exbet.io supporting some kind of stablecoin. And so we decided to open this issue up and get a broad range of views. So to get conversation going, let's phrase this as a simple binary choice: Should exbet.io markets be denominated in (a) Bitcoin or (b) some kind of stablecoin? We see pros and cons to both, and although we have been building towards using Bitcoin at launch, we want to keep polling the crypto gambling community, especially here at bitcointalk, on what will work best for you. Remember, because exbet.io is a betting exchange, it requires each market to be denominated in a single currency, because all bets are matched against each other in a single orderbook. (Unlike a sportsbook, where the house matches your bet itself, and can pay out in the currency you bet in). Really interested to hear people's takes on this. We'll be sharing our thoughts later on in the thread

My guess is that most people on this forum want to bet on bitcoin or some altcoin end of story? Cos that's why they're here, if you know what I mean. Also cos they don't want to be holding fiat/stabelcoin if crypto prices start climbing.

On the whole, we would agree with you - if we only look bitcointalk users, we'd expect a strong commitment to Bitcoin, rather than stablecoin, as a betting medium.
However, to tap into broader audiences and existing flows of betting money around the world, there are benefits to using a currency on exbet.io that allows easy interface with those audiences and existing flows of money.
