Anyway only 3 days left but no one submitted their entries yet. I'm excited to see the artworks and who will win this time since 5 categories are back.

Yeah I just saw some of the comments in that thread and no entries yet, there are only three days to go it's not that crowded in that thread yet, but the fewer participants the bigger the chance for other users who haven't had a chance to win before so they have some confidence again to participate in the art contest this August, of course, the prize is also quite big if you miss it.

As an art connoisseur, I might only be able to enjoy works of art at Roobet, but as we can see right now there aren't many people who give their art even though the time will soon be over. If I have the ability to make art, I might take part in this event and become participants, because if there are only a few participants, it will certainly give us many opportunities to win.

Maybe because the artist doesn't know what are exact things to create? Since Maus0728 is confuse so provably that's the reason why the submission for these round is low. But there's 3 days left maybe the artist doesn't want to expose their art early so that they will not get scouted by other artist and create more better art than them. But its good for other to create since who knows maybe we can see less participants and they may have higher chances to win.

Fortunately, Hhampuz has extended the date of submission and there is now plenty of time to consider getting in. It is true that the theme is not really understood well. I am not sure what they mean by August Special. If let's say someone is from the X country where they have different seasons or different festivals but they have no idea what is going on in America right now so sometimes we can end up in a clueless situation for sure. However, those who are locals will understand what Roobet means by the short funky title of the theme.

I think they should also add more description to the title when they publish the theme. Hope so they will implement this from the next contest onwards. It will surely get them more and more submissions plus the relevant ones too.

I mean on the last days there will be a ton of additions without a doubt, but at the end of the day it's not going to be the best one, the best ones are out there doing stuff without mr.roo in it and maybe that's alright, we still need him anyway.

well @Hhampuz had extended this time that supposedly closing last night but now with another 1 week for participants to have a chance .

I'm extending this contest by 1 week, so make sure to submit your work before the 6th of September!

so this is enough time for us to see great result from their artworks.

This round turn out didn't end up well since there are few participants joined the contest that's why its good to extend this contest since maybe there are other artist just got confuse about the theme and just decide to pass  this round then try their luck next time. Hhampuz and roobet is so generous to extend this round for another week so that participants would have more time to think about what good art they should submit according to the theme they said.

Knowing your stop limits and taking actions on them will help you a lot and if you take necessary steps beforehand it will help to reduce the financial burden otherwise learning from the mistakes can be costly in gambling .

Yeah the past experience suggest something similar. I have myself seen and observed that some of the arts have all the efforts put into them. Some of them are just vague entries with no intentions of winning or just trying it anyways with the thought that if they win then they win otherwise they do just enjoy the participation. Some of them are very hardcore and always getting into it with full passion and only one goal:- to win it anyhow.

In any case let’s just take a moment to enjoy it and surf the artist gallery whenever it is fully released. I think Roobets office must be full of these artworks and they already have a museum of it somewhere. Lolz. :-)

Might be a good idea but we don't know what will be the turn out of that suggestion so maybe its good to have a poll if majority of people would like to consider your suggestion or its ok to remain the same. But for me the current contest is good already and its just they need to specify the concept so that there will be no confusion and the artist can create a good art dedicated to season what Roobet trying to promote or celebrate.

Makes complete sense. They do stand to gain a lot more from art contests, but you cannot deny the fact that their popularity has decreased over time in this forum for various reasons.

This is why they need to spice up these art contests in some creative ways in order to attract more members.

Well, a music can be used for marketing too but it's really limited really compare to what drawing especially in digital form can bring. It's just a way to maybe to peak an interest and just some kind of a suggestion to bring another way of excitement. Who knows we have some kind of talented individuals here that can get it done. We wouldn't know for sure.

It wont really be called "art contest" if it would really be able to touch up those areas i should say but i might be wrong because any form of craftmanship could really be considered art but im speaking about those literal things but i dont think that they would really be applying it out considering that it would be complex and something that would be an another level of skills and resources which needs up to be used to be able to accomplish
and with this then it would be needing that they would be raising up their prize pool or rewards for such as this on which i dont believe that Roobet itself would be going into that extent, but hey, who knows right?
Its always been good to see that they are really that consistent with these kind of competitions on which it is really just that right so that the public wont really be forgetting about their existence

If there’s a decline, I don’t think Roobet will continue this campaign but as far as I can see, its been years now and the art contest is still here and many already saw the legacy of Roobet when it comes to the art contest here in the forum, this seems to be one of the best marketing strategy of Roobet. The recent contest is extended, make sure to have your entry ready.

Duelbits' Gambling activities and clients/players are not limited in this forum.  There is a way larger world outside this forum, I believe Duelbits has garnered so many players both in the forum and outside the forum that they are able to profit and sustain their marketing campaign.  The art contest is probably one way of giving back to the community project of Duelbits since they can always hire a better artist to get what they want but instead, they keep on doing this contest for years now.  I do not think that the popularity of Duelbits has declined in this forum, having almost no scam accusation and the accusation being fixed ASAP is not a sign of being less popular.

I agree. Why wait to learn from your mistake if you can do something to prevent that from happening. Set a limit on how much to spend and have a self-control. That way, you don't have to suffer on spending the money that you can't live without then will have a regrets later because you didn't gamble in moderation.

and aside from that , what I do believe is that Roobet is just giving back for bitcointalk community  , meaning they are only taking one or two of those entries .with all of that ,this means generosity from the team to the forum.
but why not to offer poem or story writing contest in the future?
who knows whats their plans for the next coming years as they are continuing to give events or contest after another.

Prevention is better than cure , why need to commit mistake when you can do something to prevent that from happening .
gambling is a place where people mostly commit wrong action so preventing is best to conduct .

That's exactly what's happening in my case. Seeing the time was extended I decided to make some finishing touches and submit my entry later. There's some entries in the thread, but most places are reserved. I think, as always,  we'll have many submissions in the last two days.

What could happen in extremely rare cases is that a whale gets lucky and sends a casino into bankruptcy. However, I would not have come across such a case yet and you would probably actually need someone with a lot of Bitcoins ... and a lot of luck.

Some maybe feel that the contest will extend since they see less submission and this is not usual happening since mostly artist submit their art once they are done or near to the deadline but now we see few submissions. But now since they extend the deadline and many had an idea in mind on what art they are going to submit then for sure this art contest for this round still exciting. I though we can less participants but for this extension it gives more time for other artist to catch up.
