We are getting close to getting operational, Pools being setup and other various attack vectors.
Soon we will be in a position to take applications and fees from coin developers who are legit and do not want to be attacked!
Probably need to put up a website and application process / quiestionarie and Attack list at this point.

edit: can we find some middle ground here guys ? can you admit there is a problem and can we find some ways to deal with this ? if you defend the crap bs.. you are saying there is no problem. and if you say that i think your retarded / insane or a liar / scammer.
Start a blog, or write articles here, recommend coins for newbies to invest in and what to avoid. The problem is, most of this thread, and this entire movement, has little to do with actually protecting newbies from shitcoins. The OP of this thread made shitcoins. It's a money grab by a handful, planning to use DOS attacks and possibly extortion. Apparently they plan to get others to join their kill pool, so they can do the work for them. It's pretty obvious that very little of this has to do with cleaning out shitcoins to help new people. did someone say extortion?

Don't forget spunk got fired from WENDYS for starting too much shit with his coworkers. No that is not a joke or insult, its truth
I had to re-quote this for Spoetnik.

I read all the posts in this topic and that's what I want to tell you guys: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=498802.0SPECS: Scrypt-Jane Proof Of Stake/Proof of Work 21.5 Second Block Times 5% Stake with 365 Days Maturity Addresses begin with 'A' / '23' Public Key nChainStartTime = 1393798143 500 Coins Per Block, Halving at 100,000 Block Intervals Minimum Subsidy of 50 Coins Per Block Maximum of 300,000,000 Proof of Work Coins Default RPC Port = 9344 Default P2P Port = 9688 %appdata%\Amperes\Amperes.conf ABSOLUTELY ZERO PREMINECoin will be released shortly prior to the opening of the OSC market on OpenEx, and will also be listed as the first OSC trading pair. The coin is compiled and ready to go, just waiting on completion of the MultiMarket code @ openex. i will give atleast 24 hours notice prior to the announcement. To keep up with multimarket progress, you can follow us @ https://twitter.com/_OpenEx_thanks! r3wt, I really, really do not understand how can you judge what is a shitclone coin and what is not after preparing such a coin? There are some good ideas in this thread, but most of ideas are just too aggressive and unfair. You MUST NOT destroy, but create if you want to fight scam and shitcloning. If you choose the destructive way (killing the coins) means you are ok with these methods. Rob somebody (just as an example) to do a "good" thing, so you agree that it's ok to rob so somebody will rob you for sure tomorrow. Main reason for people to support shitcoins is greed. Miners aim to get max profit, they just don't care about how bad the coin is if there is a slightest chance to make profits. I wish every person will just ask himself: who you are to judge the coins? Aren't you greedy too? IMO the main vector to attack shitcoins (and greedy miners) must be an educational and informational posts where you will explain the situation with the coin (multiple posts by respected members in shitcoin thread). Other good measure is to get a trusted mod that will delete shitclones threads and ban these newb "devs". Also it's important to limit the activity of users in Ann section (make new threads pre moderated or something like that).

Ah, wasn't aware that r3wt came out with a shitcoin too. The OP also has his share of shitcoins, as well. Anyway, this thread has little to do with educating or protecting people from shitcoins. Evidence enough should be that the person who started this thread, and members who support it, made their own shitcoins. They want to kill the competition, and illegally extort other devs, or they will be attacked. It's a money grab that nobody but other scammers/criminals would support -- all under the guise of supposedly protecting newbies from evil shitcoins.

Your intent is obvious you have created countless shitcoins yourself and now you have created this group to destroy shitcoins. What you plan to do is to destroy other coins and try to make your coins increase in value, your not half as smart as you think you are.

This is the only thing in your post even remotely effective, however it requires the moderator to show bias. users will begin using their real, non sockpuppet accounts to harass the mods about letting them release their shitcoins under their sockpuppets. you're on a good track though. keep those ideas coming.

Is there a purpose for this "revolution?" I ask as a complete n00b. I'm not here to invest. I am mining random coins (many are probably shit), simply to have some fun with this. I have learned to ignore "pump and dump" from my days of buying penny stocks, so I'm unconcerned about people and who says what.
Also, do you have a single list of what you consider to be really crappy and, more importantly, WHY they're crappy?

This is called extortion.
Actually, there is a real comitee being setup with major pool admins, major exchange owners and trusted people in this community.
It will NOT ask for any monies from the developpment teams. However, there will be a strict review of the coins and tests prior to launch to make sure the coins are legit and built properly. The devteam will also be checked to see if they have the required knowledge/motivation to keep their coin afloat.
This here is just extortion. I do NOT support this Operation at all, and I recommend that anybody stays away from this. This has no credibility whatsoever.
My 2 cents.

I sure am glad Franko made the 8 month cut, especially since it has actual markets in place i.e. services other than BE or Exchange.

I don't agree with much thats posted in this thread, both pros and cons do make good points, but few can deny the alt section of btt has become loaded with scams and scammers.
This section is about alt cryptos and not about the fastest way to make fiat.

The "8 month" is arbitrary nonsense. Probably, the OP registered or launched a coin 8 months ago

DDOS and Hacking are not the answer. instead, we lobby the staff to ban releases in the alt section or even posting about the releases in the alt section. that eliminates the problem from this board. let the scammers release their coins somewhere else. we can all enjoy a better community as a result.

The "8 month" is arbitrary nonsense. Probably, the OP registered or launched a coin 8 months ago Something I agree on, a scams a scam whether its an older scam or a newer scam, should be no time limit on this. Although granted there maybe a coin or 10 that started as a scam, that now the original dev is long gone and a whole new geniune dev and community has formed around it, so maybe thats why the OP put that period on it?
