I prefer to post this here on this section because this is where it actually originates from. This is where the bounty scammers come to catch their "prey"- hunters.

Therefore, I have observed that since 2018, after the 2017 crypto bull , almost all bounty have been failing. After months of running bounty, some that manage to get to the exchange are dead on arrival with less than a dollar worth of 20,000 unit (or more unit) of shit distribution to hunters.

Consequently , with my little time here and as far as I have noticed, their are certain signs that seem like a no go area if we really want to participate in a fairly good bounty that we can also benefit from our labour, time and data.

These signs for me are :
1. When the thread is filled with grammatical and typographical errors.

2. When the task in the different or any of the allocated bounties are not defined. For example, how many facebook shares / posts are not defined and then you are left with asking from the shit BM. This is definitely and certainly a red light.

3. When the task is limitless. For example, no limit to shares/post.

4. When the task is too much. For example, 10 shares  Grin

5. When the requirements to get your reward is complicated. For example, you can be asked to sign up and provide referral number or code  Grin

6. When the process for reward isn't proper. For example, you notice you will be asked to watch a video to know how to provide wallet address or downlines  Shocked Roll Eyes Grin

7. When spreadsheet isn't updated weekly.... Just run  Grin

8. When weekly dates are not seen either on the thread or spreadsheet.

9. When you see only week 1 , week 2, week 3 etc just on spreadsheet without date.

10. When complaints on telegram isn't responded to promptly and you are not satisfied when you get response.

11. You don't need to continue if you notice you have been deleted from telegram and you know you have been asking legitimate questions to understand things not clear to you about the bounty.... Run run fast  Grin

12. When it is not handled by a reputable account as BM.

13. When there is no ANN at the beginning or it is provided later in the bounty maybe because someone is consistently requesting for it.

These are some signs I can't remember and I know they are negative signs for you not to be paid after you do your part most times.

*** These signs are ; apart from whitepaper typographical mistakes and plagiarism  Grin Grin Grin

If we go with these signs and not sign up with a bounty you suspect could be scam, then the bounty will have less participants and with time, we can clear these scamming bounties out from this forum.

Each one tell all. You don't need to join suspected scam bounty.

I hope this thread will help bounty hunters.

You can also immidialtly know if the bounty campaign is scammers if they don't have team transparency because this is important to gain trust for potential investors. And always search if they are legitimate and not a impostor, and also ypu can also know if the project is scam on thier product or idea of this will really help thier crypto currency to become more popular.

Another important point to make here is if the team has no or few worded whitepaper with no good description of what the project is all about. i knew a project that wrote a full whitepaper and even got listed on CMC but was an Airdrop platform. was highly discouraged when it appears the whole stuff was shit and nothing to offer.
i strongly believe this place needs to be regulated.

I've read or tried to help build so many such lists I started get sick of them, really. Nobody seems to read them.

Maybe somebody could try to maintain a nicely formatted topic with the "good" bounties.
But at start it will need a lot of work.

Even everything above is followed correctly, still there's no guarantee that project will be good. However, if someone does enough research it's possible to avoid scam project. I am really bored on bounty and given up participating too.

I wish I had more than 1 merits to bestow on the OP for such a thought out post. That said.

Numbers 3, 7, and 13 are real red flag and a deal breaker for me. But most people here tend to over look them. I guess many hunters don't bother to even read before joining in any bounty or indirectly want to be scammed. I see this often with the manner of POA (Post of Authentication) hunters make and hunters persistently making weekly reports even after the bounty had been officially declared closed.

There is absolutely nothing that can guarantee what the outcome of any bounty could be, even when the tasks are limited, with stakes counted promptly, it's still isn't enough of an indication that the bounty would end, but when bounties by certain managers, you can be rest assured that there is a better possibility of it being successful (or at least) pay it's participants.

Bounty is like gambling only has the luck that can find a good project in this time, so many tentant bounty prevention scamer still cannot be guaranteed because in this era many projects are successful but not on the stock exchange is just the same as a failed project.
But hunters can minimize by doing research and also choosing managers to get the best bounty, if the manager is always filtered on the project he wants to promote.

Definitely a good list of suggestions here, this will certainly help some people avoid wasting their time with a bounty that is doomed to fail.

I believe that the vast majority of bounties are going to be fruitless, though there will always be outliers.

IMO bounty hunters should only participate in projects that are likely to be successful even without a bounty program, that way they can be sure they get their rewards even if the bounty doesn't produce great results.

You can normally tell these by looking at whether they have investments already, e.g. from large venture funds or investment pools. These platforms usually have stringent requirements and tend to avoid the projects that are destined for failure.

bounty was like a gambling but only this time right ? because its now hard to catch a good paying one but before bounties were not like a gambling because the chance of catching a good one is verry high  , if i can scale it from 1 to 10 it would be 7 over 10 but now its now only 3 to 10  . i like the idea of chosing a bounty manager  . its true that there are verry good managers ,  i know some of them that are picky and doesnt like to risk his reputation for some quick buck  but he is also a friendly manager to his participants at the same time  .

Bounty should not be treated as a confirmed source of earning. If you follow the above rule and still get scammed do not come here and crib. Bounty is basically an extra source of earning cryptos. Bounty was meant to build community and give them the opportunity to earn some tokens without investing.

Bounty hunters have made bounties as an occupation now and therefore they are always cribbing and crying for tokens.

Even if you follow all the points and chose a good project managed by a good campaign manager there is still no guarantee that the project is going to excel when it gets listed in an exchange. But atleast they can avoid promoting a spam/scam project for nothing.

But you know what, most shitty bounty hunters don't even have the patience to read your post or mine or even research about the project they are promoting. They are just more focused on liking/sharing tweets/FB posts etc and posting their work details in the bounty threads.

Yes but information or knowledge is power. Whoever is aimed before going into warfare is prepared for anything that can come afterwards.

Is just a pre knowledge from my single opinion and most times, it has been like that.

Point 10.11. and 12 are very important a reputable manager will not handle this kind of campaign that are full of deceit, and if they are trying to evade legit questions, there are hidden agenda behind it so be very careful, they should be transparent and can always answer even the worst question.

I guess OP just tried to help bounty hunters whom suffering here from so long with promoting scam projects, whom actually don't know about different between good and bad projects. @akhjob There are some different between scam and failed projects. OP just talk about how to find a scam projects. Not every failed projects are scam. And yes i agree with you lot of hunters are too much uneducated about crypto bounty (maximum newbies are in my opinion). They should learn and cooperate to clean this forum from shit/scam projects.

Just a little tip for lazy bounty hunters: If you too much lazy to examine a bounty project then start your work for them after 1 week (after create bounty thread). Cause many reputed member try to find scam projects everyday and if they found one they worn us about that.

These won't help to stop them, this will help to catch them. If they get caught, they are going to come back as a different person with a different project, but this time more stronger. They just spread like plague and can be found here and there like mushrooms.
Unfortunately, the points you gave are not enough to judge if they are a scammer or not. All those points you mentioned can be covered up quite easily by the scammer. The best way to know if they are scammer or not is by just following your own intuition.

All these does not turn out to no payment. Some bounties can be complicated and hunters will be paid at the end whereas some others can be way too simple yet people won't paid at the end.

You can normally tell these by looking at whether they have investments already, e.g. from large venture funds or investment pools. These platforms usually have stringent requirements and tend to avoid the projects that are destined for failure.

This is surely a good point that you have pointed at for bounty to join because they already have a project or business being managed before venturing into cryptocurrency either because they want to have there own coin trading and buying there product. I know of such projects but won't mention the coin (I'm not paid an advert fee  Grin). Seriously, even when such project have difficulty in finance, they fall back to mother project. Most times they also have very experienced team as we already know you can't buy experience from the mall.

Thanks anyways for meriting my post.
