How many shares have you submitted? My best share is closely matching the number of shares I submitted -> e.g. lets say 1% luck and best share 100 times worse than target difficulty.

A few weeks ago I hit my best ever when firing up a 12Ph/s rental, and the "best share" came in the first few seconds, so probably got hashed with less than 1Ph/s...

That's correct. It was about 220% here.

I've hit my XMR solo block with 270% luck. For some other altcoins I've seen pools hitting a block with 600-700% luck. So potentially it could have been personal luck if you go solo.
Of course pool was more lucky after that. So if you plan to hit few BTC blocks in your life it's still OK But I'm sure you're aware if you submitted that many shares .
