so no pos for my grs  Shocked

more room for my diamonds to shine bright  Cool

i will keep my grs anyway

lets see what this team is able to do

wallet coding side is pretty weak
but if they keep a non pos coin thats no big issue
plain POW coins easy to maintain

and in miner area they have good skills
just the miss-concept of closed source miners with hidden fee
(8% as our tests shows)

im sure once scrxxx is more active again he will rethink that concept
and serve the groestl algo by make his miner improvements available for all grs based coins and pools

Even if you use Bitcoin through Tor, the way transactions are handled by the network makes anonymity difficult to achieve. Do not expect your transactions to be anonymous unless you really know what you're doing.

Im currently speaking with gruve_p in an effort to convince him to reinstate POS as part of the project roadmap. he seems very concerned about the pos vulnerabilities but from my understanding, one would still have to spend alottttt of money to exploit pos and it really wouldnt make sense to do so since after theyve done that the value of their coin would drop so they wasted all their money?? ive suggested  a very low POS inflation rate 1-5%.

what do you guys think about that?

Hi guys.

First contribution to this nice coin: Linux QT Wallet (only for x64 systems).

Can be downloaded here:

https://mega.co.nz/#!2BskhbYJ!IO_5aO-tC1rMY1m_vSIJ8-F6mtpMuQvFALVrSaWoB80

Should work on most systems since most libraries are compiled static, in case something is missing just:

Code:
sudo apt-get install qt4-qmake libqt4-dev build-essential libboost-dev libboost-system-dev     libboost-filesystem-dev libboost-program-options-dev libboost-thread-dev     libssl-dev libdb++-dev libminiupnpc-dev

Or equivalent packages on other Linux distro (those are for Ubuntu 14.04).

If anyone is interested in a 32 bits version just let me know.

GRS is done for. Team tried and tried but community didn't back GRS enough.
Next best is Aidbit or Atheistcoin. Actually mining both atm.

I wouldn't be too hard on the community, I mean, what's the block reward now? 25 Groestlcoin? Who would want to mine that? Not even ASIC if they could! And now no PoS? Not that PoS was going to succeed with such a small user base and such limited money supply to begin with . . .

I wouldn't put so much responsibility on the community. That's like blaming customers who don't buy for a company's failure. If people don't buy, there's usually a good reason why, and nobody's giving money away.

BTW, with AidBit, are you solo mining or on the official pool?

Hello Community,

I am the forum administrator on www.groestlcoin.org/forum. Posting on BTCtalk was against my principles due the "fudding and snake bites" in our thread and I hated it. Gruve_p asked me to reconsider, so here I am.

What can you expect in September from us:
- Facebooktippingbot
- Android wallet
- Multipool
- GRS wallet depot for IOS
- New version of grs-sgminer

What can u not expect from us:
- PoW/PoS hybrid (just look to all those fork problems out there)
- Anon
- Merge mining with other coins
- Rebranding (with other name)

What can u expect from me? Well basically I will be reposting all our news from our official forum here and all new news will be posted in both places now. We have the best algo along with our brother Grøstl coins, we can all co-exists. There is enough shine to get for all Grøstl coins, so let us live in harmony, concentrate on the developing part and don't waste our time with fud.

Fudding will not be tolerated by any of us (even if its constructive but thanks for bumping our thread), but we will not fud back in other Grøstl threads (its against our policies). We don't need to fud back because we already have more shine:

• The best Grøstl coin (don't matter if PoW & PoW/PoS) in existence
• The first Grøstl coin
• The first Grøstl android miner
• The first Grøstl p2pool
• The first (and almost only) unmoderated Grøstl thread (yup, your post cannot be deleted by us)
• Grøstl coin with the most exchanges
• Grøstl coin with the most faucets
• Grøstl coin with the most block explorers
• Grøstl coin with the most services
• Grøstl coin with the most exchanges
• One of the best block explorers I've seen: http://chainz.cryptoid.info/grs/
• The only Grøstl coin who is really capable of optimizing the Grøstl kernel by rewriting it and will keep doing so
• The only Grøstl coin which last couple pages is not about hardforking problems

a welcome to every Grøstler and enjoy the ride with us

Jackie
