Hi, I tried to help the person seeking to mine your coin/algo, we are now using djstone/sph-sgminer by default so I downloaded prettyhatemachine/sph-sgminer, compiled it, and tested it with the same result. It used to work with the conf provided with the distro. I then tried the pool he gave me and it would not work, I said it was not a top priority, (and its not) this was taken as bashing.  Out of 3000+ downloads per month we have had more inquiries about your algo today than ever.  I will look into the issue, and would appreciate it if someone would stop by and give me a verified working (TODAY) pool to test it against.  I quite frankly do not have time to go through making accounts on every pool on the list to find one that works.  After taking a quick glance over, i think the issue could be resolved by adding the correct difficulty multipler flag to the conf file.  if someone would send me the correct value for this, I will implement it.

Thank you,

Sling00

Hi!

I assume PIMP is the same as BAMT, so perhaps my BAMT guide will help: http://groestlcoin.org/forum/index.php?topic=12.0

i have one 7970 can i mine with my card and my cpu at the same time or is that a retarded question?

I do exactly that. My cpu has four threads so I use one for one x11 and three for BCN.

I'm not sure what the original author of the top 100 addresses printout is referring too.
But I presume that he means that some wallets have too many GRS.
But I'd like to point out that exchanges and pools wallets are also in the list.
For example, grs.cryptohunger.com has around 200,000 in the wallet (guys, please withdraw, this is not a bank!).
I'm sure mintpal and poloniex also have quite a bit.

Can you compare with similar printouts for different alt-currencies?
I don't think many have this info public.

I don't think this coin will go up too much.look at the top rich list

Are you saying theyre too rich?

Groestl is a great algo that is efficient and doesnt take up a lot of energy. I just wish more groestl coins would come out. X11 is great, too, but I think its just trendy cause DRK uses it and DRK has risen so high in value.

Groestlcoin Team will publish 2014 roadmap on 1st June at 21:00 UTC. Hold tight.

Starting from block 120000 (approximately 4-th of June) there will be changes in  block reward (gradual decrease to 25 GRS at block 150,000). Github repository was updated and exchanges and pools are already updating their wallets.

Windows and Mac wallets are not ready yet, so there is nothing that you need to do at this point. We have plenty of time before 4th June. I think the wallets will be ready tomorrow. I will make a separate post about this.

And finally, here is one photo from the promo photoshoot that I promised before:
(note, this is not Photoshop but a real staged photoshoot. More photos to come later, currently they are in post production)

There is also an uncesnored version in http://groestlcoin.org/forum/index.php?topic=105.0

does everyone like the name? come on i know its roots etc etc, but if you want mainstream adoption you need to consider renaiming the coin. as people that are not northern europeans will NOT know how to pronounce it. i've seen that coins do better when their names are accessible for the majority of people

just a thought, anyone else want to add to that?

I do not like the name too, but if the focus is on the PoW algo, then it makes sense.
Still not the best for wide adoption marketing, though.

We are going to do something with this super high inflation level. Stay tuned for official update shortly.

I hope you won't get offended, but...

If you're closing to the limit... Then raise it. So you won't be close to the limit.

Regarding the value... ...you don't get it, do you? You have to offer added value. DRK is selling their anonimity. What in fact are you selling? A coin only.

Not good enough.

Start selling the story - or if you like, I'll make up the story and sell it.

This is a dumbest idea I have heard. Even now GRS is on the edge of profitability. And you will dump the reward.

In that case - I am out.
