Only reason for pump is a coming dump. Someone is //or was// playing with a price. Only reason for pump is clearing position GRS, price will be //or was// slowly falling. Few days ago someone start buying at price 250. In night CET sale for 700, good deal.

On 800 is a big posittion for 4,5 BTC..., that is the end for now imho.

In all the Bitcoin derivatives I know, hasherpersec refers to the wallet's internal CPU miner only. The wallet cannot know how fast the GPUs are hashing. Even pools can only estimate the hashrate based on the frequency of shares. So for mining calculations, you need to manually add up your actual hashrate.

Black hat thinking here:

  • That's a paid app. The lite version has an annoying ad on top of the app the whole time, clearly contradicting Google's guidelines for Ads.
  • The lite version only tells you it is mining. Doesn't show hashrate, doesn't show sharerate... nothing, it could be just burning cycles with no-ops just for you to watch the annoying ad.
  • The lite version only runs when on foreground, unproffesional.
  • And worse than anything else, the app is closed source. I can't for the life of me support a closed source miner, they could be mining on their own address and you won't even know, because they aren't telling you your hashrate.

I'm deeply interested in this coin, but this miner isn't what we need right now. Uninstalled right away. And i have 3 android devices here screaming to mine.

Btw, i'm working on services paid with this coin. Even my serious business will start accepting GRS soon, i've already done the backend and have a nice frontend. I think we need more merchants accepting this coin.

I opened the app and checked for anything malicious and it is not present!
every program on android has a file extension of  "" *.apk"
changing the extension to zip allows you to read every byte of source code in the prog.
yes there could be many changes to this app but its a damn good start ........ as everyone has started somewhere.
with googles adb "open source" it allows anyone to inspect modify and change anything within the android market and everything is open! nothing is closed source!
pay if you don't want to spend the time recoding it yourself

How much does the Android miner cost?

Assuming it is ~5$ I will subsidize 50% of the pucrhase for the first 10 people to submit screenshots of results from their android devices. Only first two submissions per device though will have a chance. i.e Id like at least 5 diff devices covered.

You will be subsidized in GRS of course at a rate of  0.00000550  (last price MintPal)

The Team will certainly tweet these results but your btctalk identity will not be revealed on twittr, altho clearly it will be here.

Perhaps this would be better posted in groestlcoin.org/forum but I feel you guys are still the life-blood of crypto so I reach out to YOU.

REMINDER: I hope to demonstrate that ARM is as efficient as GPU mining on Grøstl as defined by a watt/hash calculation (ARM procs use around 2W!)

First lady/gent to post screenshot will have 100% subsidy in GRS.

Regarding the Android miner app...

1) There are no open source miners for Android. I did search myself and have personally contacted 5 authors of paid miners.
2) I recommend you to try the free version first. Use port 4444 (yes, 4444. not 3333) on groeslcoin.biz, your wallet address as login. It has very low difficulty setting (diff=1), good for Androids.
3) There will be a special version just for Groestlcoin released (hopefully today).

PS: updated Windows and Mac wallets are availabel on official site.

it would be nice to get a little bit more info about how many blocks are found by the pool each time it is found, and what is the speed and the balance of each user.

[so the biggest wallet still only has around 6btc worth whats wrong with that?

quote author=srcxxx link=topic=525926.msg7030304#msg7030304 date=1401433147]
I'm not sure what the original author of the top 100 addresses printout is referring too.
But I presume that he means that some wallets have too many GRS.
But I'd like to point out that exchanges and pools wallets are also in the list.
For example, grs.cryptohunger.com has around 200,000 in the wallet (guys, please withdraw, this is not a bank!).
I'm sure mintpal and poloniex also have quite a bit.

Can you compare with similar printouts for different alt-currencies?
I don't think many have this info public.

I don't think this coin will go up too much.look at the top rich list

Are you saying theyre too rich?

Groestl is a great algo that is efficient and doesnt take up a lot of energy. I just wish more groestl coins would come out. X11 is great, too, but I think its just trendy cause DRK uses it and DRK has risen so high in value.

which pool are you talking about?

Each pools has its own statistics. Even groestlcoin.biz has it: http://groestlcoin.biz/workers

khash/s is shown, but not in the main GUI, you can select the menu option "show totals" which shows the hashrate and also the shares found. Also pro releases (groestlcoin release although is free works the same way as pro's) have the ability to show hashrates in the notification bar.

Also, the app name was changed. Now it is: Crypto Miner (BTC,LTC,QRK,GRS)
