And it happened. Barca dropped points against Rayo. 0.52 xG of Brcelona summarizes game very well, Barcelona attacks weren't dangerous. Most part of game it looked that they're just passing ball in the middle without attempting to play more aggressive. Not first time this season, but previously most of such games had lucky outcome.
Gavi injury is such painful loss. And fact that he got it in completely meaningless international game makes me angry. Now Barca lost him for rest part of season and very likely that he will miss EURO too.
Valencia continue to be typical Valencia. Now they failed to beat Celta at home and game ended 0:0. But for Celta this away draw doesn't give much joy as they stay in relegation zone and things doesn't looks bright for them. Poor Benitez...

There are a lot of injury problems for top teams in La Liga, so better consider that before making any predictions.
I hoped for a tight win for Barcelona but Rayo Vallecano is tough nut to crack and they only lost from Girona since September.

I am sharing first place with jeremy and there is one more match left in Monday between Girona and Athletic Club, very hard to predict exact score for this match.

Yeah, betting BTTS on Girona games worked well so far as they almost always concede first, but still manage to win games. But this time is a bit different as their top scorer Dovbyk missing this game because of injury.
Still 0:0 and it would be very strange if game between these high scoring teams with not so great defense would end without goals.

I was so close this round and I was really thinking hard to pick 1:1 final score but I decided to go with 2:2 for Girona match.

Aaaand I'm out of top 10 with that draw. Thought I'd keep following the form and sniffed out the home win, but Athletic was always going to be a tough team to beat. jeremypwr quietly extending his lead but vd309 making up the most ground. Back to the drawing board for me.

used to own this pool, but times are changing, and I can't find solution for choppy Valencia form and up-risers like Girona, that does not seem as quality teams

missing out on Barca, had them as draw, and changed last minute, while had them to win over Porto, and changed to draw in last minute

I do miss the days of referee just making mistakes and we get pissed off. VAR makes mistakes, and taes 5 minutes to do it, and no one knows what the mistake is until game restarts, sometimes not even.

100%, but it looks like their chances of top 4 and the Champions League are growing with each round. It's a pity that next season the Champions League will be complete chaos and in fact no one will even feel that there is a new club there. And in the playoffs we will, as always, see the old set of teams.

Yeah, that VAR decision helped for me too. Damn, Girona, they conceded first again and won again - how long it can continue? Stuani, what a legend. He didn't left club when they got relegated to Segunda and now scoring crucial goals in La Liga being 37 years old.

Barca played probably best 80 minutes this season, but failing to score more than 1 goal with so many moments is guarantee of nervous ending. We got saved by Pena few time in the end. Felix played perfect game against his former team. And nothings surprising that he celebrated his goal against Atletico.

Usually, when it's offside, they show lines in replay. But all problems begins when decision is made not by system, but people behind the screen - penalties, red card moments and etc.

and after lousy Saturday, finished round with 2 exact scores on Sevilla and Barcelona, so round can be considered as good

hoped for Valencia to take a point against Girona, but after Duro goal, we didn't even considered to have ball in our possession and focused just on defense, so didn't even deserved a point
nevertheless, distance to top is not that big, around 10 points, so it is all open still, looking to restore domination here
