Wow... Jeremypwr is killing this pool! I thought that I can get to the first place but this weekend pretty much destroyed me. Thankfully I was also saved by that VAR call and got one exact match, but I fell two places even with that result.

I wouldn't say I'm "killing this pool" with a 5.5 point lead.  
We've only completed 15 rounds and with 23 rounds remaining, it's still very much anyone's pool to win.

I agree that there are a lot of rounds left. But you are holding the first place for some time now. I was so happy when I saw that I have come near you (I think it was one point difference at some point), but this last round I really played bad.

Now with VAR you have 2 extra refs (VAR), more confusion, and how do we know it's not system fault? We don't always get to see what the system shows, we actually don't know the system

Usually, when it's offside, they show lines in replay. But all problems begins when decision is made not by system, but people behind the screen - penalties, red card moments and etc.
BTW, VAR saved my exact prediction again. Now they cancelked Villarreal goal vs Sevilla because they found foul and game ended 1:1.

Offside doesn't always show the lines, that is up to VAR yes it is getting better but even with lines VAR makes mistakes. I believe the Liverpool incident was first time ever a wrong decision was made AFTER lines shown. And lines are drawn manually, some automatic, but interpretation is slow and by the way VAR officials are not even same as referee standard.

Like you said decision is made by people behind screen. Most (assistants of VAR) are not even referee who understand spirit of football. They are literally company reps.

Sepp Blatter was a evil bastardo of football but the one good thing he did was prevent VAR, until he got kicked out anyway. Sepp understood football more than Infantino.

There is so much red colour for me this round, I'm still yet to get correct outcome this round. But at least other aren't doing much better. Real dropped points against Betis, maybe it's not that huge upset, but still, unexpected. Tomorrow's game between Barca and Girona have huge value -Barca have chance to get close to leaders, while Girona can take solo lead in league again.
What's wrong with Villarreal this season? OK, they're on my betting blacklist for a while, but c'mon, they have completely no chance at home against Real Sociedad. They should be in relegation zone, but fortunately for them, there is many teams which perform even worse - all teams from P14 to P20 haven't won at least 5 their recent games and Almeria is yet to win their first game.

I agree with your thoughts, but this game wasn't case when Valencia played well for 75-80 minutes and lost game in final minutes. It was quite poor whole game, 0 shots on target is good indicator. And your opponent isn't Barca or Real, you made 0 shot on target against Getafe, your direct competitor.

Only one guy predicted 1:0, and yesterday I was first thinking to make the same prediction but changed my mind later

Some unfortunate scenes I saw in the Granada verses Athletic Bilbao 20 minutes into the game, as one of the spectators was believed to have had a heart attack (words from the commentator) which forced the game to be suspended and just hope his/shes okay

But considering this match had Athletic Bilbao leading by a goal, does this mean the next time they play this match it will be Athletic Bilbao playing with a +1 handicap/advantage

Incredible to say, but Girona is still leading against Barcelona in second half!
I expected to see home team turning result around by now but nothing happened so far.

Now we're 7 points behind Girona. Not end of world, but so far team aren't showing confidence which would let us fight for title. While Girona, I don't know how long they will continue what they're doing, but now they're most fun team to watch in La Liga and maybe in whole Europe.

I read on a report about Barca and Girona, both Catalan clubs, that it wasn't even like losing to your little brother but losing to your pet goldfish. Perfect summary of the game and a line to draw to show how far Girona come in only their fourth La Liga season (after relegating before). I honestly hope they go on to win it, but Real is the team to beat, Bellingham is saving their ass again and again while we are lost without Gavi...

Damn, Sevilla getting destroyed at home by Getafe 0:3. That's something what you don't expect tto see, but they're so bad that relegation is real danger for them.
Atletico loss against Athletic probably isn't big surprise. Athletic dominated game and seems that times when Atletico had elite defense already in past. Even Las Palmas conceded less goals than Atletico this season.
Finally Celta got a win - I don't want to see them relegated at all. And I will refrain from commenting Barca game, difficult to find something positive about it

I'm feeling great after the 4-0 Barcelona win. Because it was my exact pick in the pool.    Sergi Roberto did me a favour by scoring the last one in the final moments. I must add that Lewandowski was very impressive tonight by two goals. He has adapted to the team really fast by reaching his 4th goal in the La Liga.

Another pick of mine is 3-1 Real Madrid win. So far so good as it is 1-1 at halftime. I'm happy to see Espanyol scoring the equalizer because this can ease things for me as Real Madrid would keep the tempo high to get ahead again. And we can watch a similar scenario to the Celta Vigo match. Real Madrid scored three more goals after the score became 1-1 there.

People need to stop believing in miracles. As in, I need to stop believing Sevilla can still get draws at minimum and I need to fully accept that Barca is simply not good enough with out key players.

Many seasons of losing points to above 2 teams is my recipe of loser vibes.
