PSG really won convincingly today, I was really impressed with their form in the past two Champions League games, that's against Manchester City last week and against Stuttgart today. They played so well and today was another masterpiece of play from them. It got me wondering where this team was all these while in the previous games they played in the Champions League this season! The was they dismantled both City and Stuttgart is something to talk about and applaud them for their incredible performance in the this past two matches.

Yes, that is indeed the problem that occurs and the Champions League is certainly a priority for teams that can make big investments like PSG has done. I think the directors of Les Pariesens will not go all out again to spend a lot of money because previously the target of getting a prestigious title never happened. I don't considered PSG to be one of the biggest clubs in the world, they're consistent winners of the french league but haven't achieved anything outside of french football to be considered the best in the world. They're not aslo playing to the best of my knowledge to convince me that they can win the champions league this season. I think they're not up to the standards of the champions league. If they mightn't finish in the top four then maybe they will be eligible for the European league and then they can win it to have a European trophy in their cabinet. PSG won their game against Stuttgart and are still in the champions league therefore let see what they can achieve

Although a large investment has been made by the PSG owner, it certainly will not be easy to win the UCL league because the UCL league competition is very different from the domestic league. So if PSG wants to win the UCL league, it takes time, it takes a process and it is necessary to build a foundation from the bottom, not by bringing in top players and then being able to win the UCL easily.

Just look at Man City who have invested heavily but to win the UCL league it took a long time, they also dominate the domestic league but have difficulty in the UCL league. OGC Nice that are currently in the 4th position of the French league didn't make it to the playoffs at least of the Europa League after 8 games played in the competition so far, they have been eliminated from the competition this season. I still don't understand how they managed to consecutively have bad runs of form that they managed 3 draws 5 loses and zero win in the Europa league, the when it's the league competition, they are in 4th plac ;)e. Is it that they prefer the domestic league competition than the European one? Or they just couldn't cope with other teams outside France? I'm really surprised at this.

If Marseille have been up to speed this season compared to last season like you said then I expected more from them because the know what they are up against, getting the Ligue 1 trophy from PSG should be their number 1 priority and if necessary they should dump all other competitions and focus on the league title that's if the work load would be much for them, no much mistakes should be entertained and they should be very close to PSG because these guys have various competition to attend to. Talking of PSG, their aggressiveness, speed and how they handle business would not be as fast as it should be compare to them (Marseille) who focus on one competition. But I think Marseille have misused their chances of getting very close to PSG so this season nothing can be done to over throne the reigning champs.

It is not easy to eliminate PSG in the French League. Marseille is indeed much better than their performance last season, but that does not mean that Marseille is that overpowering and can immediately replace PSG, because so far, PSG's performance in the French league is still good and consistent, even 0 losses.

Meanwhile, if we look at the composition of the players in the squad, funding, coaches, and others, PSG is still above Marseille.

PSG knew what was at stake, so they had the chance to remain in the Champions League fight and they took that chance and escaped through to the stage that they’re now. They’re now in the playoffs round which is the elimination phase and always happens to be the toughest of all the stages in the champions league level fight.

Luis Enrique experience may have gotten him the job at Barcelona but getting eliminated from the first round of the competition would have been a big disgrace and could have caused him his work too. He has shown some commitment and shown that he can fight to the end of the competition, let’s wait to see the outcome of the game in the playoffs round.
