I think the major reason why they're dominating the French league is because the other clubs in the French league aren't strong enough to challenge them. It's as if the other French clubs does concede that PSG will win the league even before the league campaign kicks off.

It will always be PSG who dominate in Ligue 1 and it is not a surprise to see them beat Lille by such a big scoreline. There is hardly any other team that can match PSG so it is not a surprise to see PSG beat their opponents so easily in Ligue 1. Now the main focus is on facing Liverpool in the Champions League and it will not be a difficult task for Luis Enrique to beat an in-form Liverpool.

Although the match will take place at home, PSG will face much greater pressure against Liverpool's dangerous attack line. In last decade, as PSG have success in this league now things are not debatable about their superiority and dominance due to available sources which are making them one of the strongest team in this league while many are trying to cut the difference, but things have never been suitable for their competitors.

In this current season situation was looking some better as few teams increase quality of their squads, but their performance is still not good as they fail to create any challenge for PSG Marseille is currently holding second spot with 13 points difference their performance is looking good but not as they needed for having any title chance.

Upcoming season is doing to be more challenging for all clubs as PSG current squad is taking good experience and their playing chemistry is also good which will keep them on top for another season until others will spend huge amount like them for their development.

PSG's performance in Ligue 1 is as if they have no plans for this league. There is no reason to plan. PSG is ahead of the other teams in the league in all aspects. There is no need for extra planning. We always consider PSG as an auto choice regardless of the team against PSG. If any other team could compete equally with PSG then the popularity of this league would have increased much more. Since PSG does not need any extra planning or extra pressure with the local league then it is relatively easy for this team to do well in other tournaments but we don't see PSG doing very well in other tournaments as well as they do in Ligue 1.

For Marseille I have no doubt, one UCL ticket next season will most likely be theirs, what's interesting is who will get the other 2 tickets, I have a hard time deciding who deserves the ticket, on the one hand I want to put Monaco but seeing their game which always declines every week I feel skeptical on the other hand Nice has shown extraordinary results for the last 5 weeks but approaching the end of the season they always struggle, or Lille who gets that one place or even Lyon still has that chance.

Both teams are well-balanced with have strong spots into their domestic league which give them good advantage meeting after long time but still it's not easy to predict about possible result of this match because PSG is having good home advantage and their squad is also doing good in last few matches.

The biggest red flag is Nice's unsafe position. Nice in the last twelve games, 5W, 5D, 2L. Not poor, but not dominant either. Meantime, Monaco is playing their best impersonation of a team seeking Champions League football but stumbles over their own feet. The 2-1 loss to Lille was not helpful; that 4-1 loss to PSG was a nightmare

But here's what people are not talking about enough: European competition fatigue. Monaco and Lille will suffer in Ligue 1 cause they are still playing in Europe. Marseille and Nice do not have that problem, so fresher legs, better concentration, and fewer distractions. That alone makes Nice's collapse less likely, but if they stop leaking goals, Monaco's "elite talent" (and I say that loosely) may still push them up to third

Lyon boss Paulo Fonseca gets 9-month ban for confronting ref

Lyon coach Paulo Fonseca has been suspended for nine months by the French Professional Football League (FLP), following his confrontation with referee Benoit Millot during his team's recent 2-1 Ligue 1 victory over Brest.

The FLP said in a statement on Wednesday that Fonseca will be barred from accessing the bench, the officials' dressing- rooms, and participating in any official functions before, during, or after matches until Nov. 30.

Fonseca was sent off deep into stoppage time for angrily reacting to a potential Brest penalty.

After being red-carded, an irate Fonseca then confronted Millot and leaned in very close to his face before being pushed away by Lyon captain Corentin Tolisso. Fonseca tried to confront the referee a second time and was restrained by a couple of Lyon players.

The Portuguese coach apologised afterward.

"I just want to say that I'm sorry for what I did. I should not do it," Fonseca told broadcaster DAZN. "Maybe we do things that are not right. I'm sorry."

The handball decision itself then went to VAR and a penalty was not given.

Millot said Fonseca's behavior was unacceptable.

"He rushed toward me with an intimidating attitude and I decided to send him off directly," he told sports daily L'Équipe. "There was, it seems, a slight contact with the nose. [It was] a particularly intimidating, aggressive attitude, which one can hardly imagine from a professional coach."
