Maybe you didn't crosscheck the standings before posting, Lens is not behind but rather above them with much gap, about 10 points ahead, Marseille is struggling to finish in the top 4 and their worry should be about Monaco that shares same points with them and Lyon that's just a point behind and not Lens.
 I really don't know why De Zerbi decided to leave the team for a tougher job, i wonder what he sees in Tottenham even as they're more closer to being relegated, it seems he's passionate about managing a Premier league team and don't mind if the team could be relegated or not, let's see if Marseille would qualify for Champions League or Tottenham relegated.

there are teams in league one that don't have the luxury of making mistakes and in fact Marseille is one of those, they are teams that are definitely at a lower level than Paris San German and despite not having played very well, they recovered and finished in first place, this is definitely different

honestly Olympique Marseille is a very solid team that has excellent ball possession and some great players in attack, in fact i was impressed by the way they shot on goal and it's no coincidence that there were a lot of shots, i have to say that it's more than deserved what we saw is excellent football..

Monaco had the home advantage on that day and they used it judiciously against Olympique Marseille in that match, I wasn't really expecting anything less from the home side based on how well they have performed this season especially haven brought in Paul Pogba a midfield maestro who has played at the highest level in Europe.

Apparently, Monaco haven't really done what is really expected of them as a team with great potential, probably they could be that team that may finally end PSG's age long dominance of french football but right now that isn't coming through because the teams seems to be going through some transition with new players coming every new season from other clubs or the academy.

The reluctance in PSG can be because they understood they have no solid rival in their domestic league and so far they have been even doing great in their champions league games which they seem to place some more priorities around.  For me I just see it that if they have any reason to do more than they are already doing in their domestic league, they are going to do it, as it is obvious in their performance in both leagues that there is much difference with their approach.

Marseille's current position doesn't look so good due to their declining performance, and they are currently struggling to seize third place from LOSC. They still have a chance though, as they are only one point behind LOSC, but it depends on whether they can be consistent for the rest of the season. If they can do that, they still have a spot in the Champions League next season. If not, they will lose the various advantages they gained from playing in the UCL. So Habib Beye has a pretty tough job on his shoulders, and he needs to improve Marseille's performance because they have lost important points from defeats in their last two matches.

Actually they deserved to win this one considering how well they played against Marseille in this game, they dominated most part of the game and also created some great chances, I think playing at home was one of the factors that aided Monaco in getting the win, Marseille didn't show much restraint or intensity and at such they seemed overwhelmed by Monaco who were the better side during this encounter between these two French elite clubs.

Even with the tight schedule, I don’t think PSG will lose against Lyon. Five days is enough for PSG players to rest before meeting Lyon. PSG are not ready to compromise against any team this season, that is why they are playing so seriously. So, for you to still have hope for Lens to win the trophy, that means you don’t know what PSG are capable of. Even as we know that PSG are working hard for the Champions League, they will still not forfeit Ligue 1, as they will use it as a backup if they later lose the Champions League.

I'm only just catching up with last weekend's Ligue 1 results, and I see Lens have suffered another defeat, this time by Lille.
Looking at the game stats and the highlights, Lens played horribly bad. They couldn't create a single decent scoring chance, the closest they've been to scoring was when Lille's defence made a mistake and handed the ball to Lens' striker. It was a sad game to watch for Lens' fans.
I guess this means PSG will defend their championship. They are 4 points ahead and have one less game played than Lens. Even if Lens beat PSG in the direct game (in May), that may not be enough.

Lille is now 3rd, as they overtook Marseille, who turned out to be another victim of unstoppable Monaco.

I agree with you because the loss to Lille last weekend ended Lens' chances of competing for the Ligue 1 title. A four-point gap and a game in hand would make PSG the clear favorite. Lens squandered their best opportunities in their previous six games, making it difficult for them to regain their lead over PSG. I think Lens should forget about the trophy this season, as their chances are slimmer and they will need to perform much better next season if they want to compete for the Ligue 1 title.

At this point, having lens top PSG does not seem like what will be happening this season Evan as the points gap is just 4, PSG has all it takes to maintain their position such that the gap may even increase further rather than reducing. Ligue One is a league apart where only one team has reigned for years and there is no one who can challenge them for now, managed by an Arab club with a lot of resources at their disposal and for many years there won't be anyone who can compete against them, i realize that, but that doesn't mean they should leave it alone and not try at all, the other teams must at least try.
