I am not surprised at all by the result of this match. PSG are now worried about the champions league match against Chelsea. It is clearly visible that PSG is not giving full effort against Monaco. PSG's attacks are relatively  slow. They have managed to take only 7  shots so far.

Yea, you are right. It's left for Lens to see this as an opportunity to close the point gap by winning their next match. PSG was paid in their own coin because they thought it's gon be as usual but it turned around not to favor them this time. I feel that they underestimated Monaco who was looking for a way to get their own revenge.

It hasn't been a smooth season for PSG because Lens has always been a threat to them on the title race. My surprise how the goals took PSG goalkeeper unaware.

I think it’s important to take into account that PSG are still playing in the Champions League, and for Enrique at this stage the Champions League will remain the higher priority, because PSG will aim to defend their title. It’s obvious that while preparing for this match, Enrique gave some of the main squad players a rest, and Monaco took advantage of that. Since PSG have a points advantage in the league, they could afford to do this for this match, especially considering that a game between PSG and Monaco would have been difficult anyway. And yes, for Lens this is an chance, we’ll see how they manage to take advantage of it.

I don't understand how he plays in an up-and-down fashion, there are games he plays flawlessly and games where he doesn't even seem to be the PSG we're used to seeing.
But this is football we know by now, maintaining consistent performances is not easy, even for big teams.

Actually I wasn't surprised that Paris Saint-Germain lost to Monaco. You may have noticed that Monaco has had very few ups and downs in their UCLA games against PSG this season and they also found the clue to victory but despite all their hard work, they still couldn't win, so perhaps this Monaco team was very angry about winning against this team. Yes PSG performance has drop steadily they were the best team last season they won the treble and most importantly they won the Champions league tittle. PSG is not yet guarantee to even win their domestic league if Lens continue to perform well they can surprise PSG by winning the Ligue 1 tittle. Metz can't stop Lens from getting their 3 points because Metz has not perform well since the season started, what that will encourage Lens to win is that the fact that PSG has lost to Monaco.

The difference is that Brest was in second place with 46 points. Lens will currently be in second place with just one point behind PSG, and the likelihood of "accidentally" losing the title from this position will gradually increase if PSG cannot increase their lead.

I watched the PSG vs. Monaco game and I have to say it was a disaster what PSG did in that game. I don't know what the PSG player was thinking, but his mistake allowed Monaco to score the first goal, and when I thought things might improve, the PSG defense made another mistake and Monaco scored the second goal.

When PSG scored, I thought they could at least come away with a draw or even a win, but again the PSG defense made a blunder that allowed Monaco to score the third goal.

My conclusion for this game is that the PSG defenders weren't focused; it's not normal for them to make such childish mistakes. Honestly, the PSG coach needs to do something when the season ends and the transfer windows open.

They probably realized that Chelsea game is more important, and they should put all their efforts into the Chelsea game and try to be further into UCL this season. This is why they had a bit of rotation and the players who did not rotated basically did active resting during the game and did not care.

You just compare how much they ran on the first two Monaco games at UCL and then compare it to this one and you will see the difference, they did not even run as much and that proves my point that they did not care. I can see why they would want to win this one too, why wouldn't they, but they just didn't want to risk anyone and wanted to make sure that they are fresh and rested for the Chelsea game that is coming up.

The passes of Monaco football team were less in this match and these were 275 in this match and opponent team passes were more in number. Akliouche was a person who did first goal of the match and he did this goal at 27 minutes of the match and he made pressure in this match when it was need of the team.

I'm not surprised too to see PSG lose to AS Monaco. Monaco is a strong competitor for PSG both in League 1 and even in the Champions League. PSG always struggles when they face Monaco, where they have to fight very hard to win. But I think in the recent match PSG seemed to underestimate Monaco, where it has led to their defeat at home. PSG's defeat will greatly benefit Lens in closing the gap with PSG. Lens will face Metz in round 25. If Lens wins this match they will only be one point behind PSG. But I personally doubt that Lens can easily defeat Metz in the upcoming match. FC Metz is a strong team for Lens as Metz has defeated Lens in several previous meetings. And in the last Round 10 meeting Metz defeated Lens with a score of 2-0 without any goals from Lens. PSG has downtrend performance exactly for this season after losing 4 of 25 games played and last match beating by Monaco as revenge match after eliminating at Champion League playoff round match. Inconsistent performance from PSG in domestic league could not be utilized well by the rival team Lens always loss three points when facing the top and experienced Ligue 1 teams. PSG on bad position after losing from Monaco and next match must focus for Champion League against Chelsea for the first leg match.

Its great chance for Lens to reduce four points left awhile and become one point if can beat Metz, if consistent get three points has chance for Lens back to top place if beat PSG at matchday 29 both team face each other and fighting for the Ligue tittle.
