Lens have been in incredible form this season. But they have fallen behind again in the competition after losing to marseille and monaco. PSG's performance has not  been very consistent. They lost 3-1 to rennes a few days ago. But they have  regained the top spot in the table. Now psg  must continue their winning streak. PSG has the full potential to perform  consistently well. PSG still have the best  chance of winning the ligue 1 title if they do not suffer a bad defeat  in the upcoming matches.

PSG should be pleased that most top French clubs have not been consistent. Les Parisiens are not in top form like they were last season when they won the League before the end of the season. But we still have to commend Lens for giving PSG the needed competition. This season is entertaining since it is possible for another club to win the French League title. Lens is not competing in the European competition, which will help them to concentrate on the League.

If Lens can survive until the end to be close to PSG it is indeed commendable because it is almost difficult to continue to put pressure on PSG who appears consistently in League 1 and if Lens can take the opportunity towards the end when PSG loses points they have a chance to get the League 1 title and that is really an extraordinary thing, I myself also admit the greatness of Lens so far even when they are underestimated they will not last long at the top of the standings he still tries to be at the top for quite a long time, nothing is impossible if indeed they are destined to win the tittle.

PSG is just like every other team there in Ligue only that the rest of other teams seem not to be waking up to challenge PSGs dominance over the years, now look at the effort of Lens and where it has brought them, and if they keep this momentum going forward and the pressure PSG might miss lifting this trophy this very season, 2 points isn't that much to close up if Lens can keep winning and watch what happens with the rest of PSGs matches.

I never get tired of telling people on this forum about the farmer's league practices in Ligue 1 & Bundesliga. It would be a coincidence if we finally see another team besides Paris Saint-Germain & Bayern Munich becoming the champions of these two leagues. We did see Lens perform well even though they were unlucky in their last match, but no matter how hard they try, Paris Saint-Germain will still be the strongest candidate to win the league.

I didn't understand what you were talking about? Paris Saint-Germain isn't behind Lens. Lens are two points behind them and are chasing them. Paris Saint-Germain got an important win in their last match against Metz, 3-0. They also have a Champions League match against Monaco and will probably qualify through the playoffs. So far, both teams have equal chances of  winning the title. Even though psg  is ahead, they are not in the safe zone. If psg  loses points, draws or loses in a single match, they will lose the top spot in the table. So PSG has no other  option but to continue their winning streak. On the other hand, Lens also has to win consistently. They  are already  2 points behind. If they fail to win in any of the next matches, their points gap with psg  will increase further. Now , the team that can keep the performance stable and  continue the winning streak among these two teams will be the champion.

By the way, there is still an opportunity to make an easy 10% on the PSG title, which seems like a good deal considering the season is ending soon.
Regarding the early meeting between the two French teams (last season's Bayern vs. Bayer match was far more disappointing), I think it's inevitable due to the new format and the fact that at least five teams from two countries participate in the Champions League. Drawing lots to avoid matches between teams from the same country would be a major problem.

Lyon got beaten really hard by Strasbourg by the way. 3-1 in an away game... But they are still comfortable at the 3rd position now. All thanks to their great performance in general of the season so far. 

From being on the verge of relegation due to financial problems to this point... What a rise! Marseille's horrible form is also helping them a lot to remain in their current place easily.

I even doubt Marseille's chances to finish in top 4 with this effort.

Strasbourg Alsace football team played very well against Olympique Lyonnais football team because they were dominant in this game and they played one sided game in this match. Godo was a person who did first goal of the match and he did this goal at 37 minutes of the match and he did this goal in the first half of the match And we saw back to back goals but that team and players performance was at top . Moreira was a person who did second goal of the match and he did this goal at 52 minutes of the match when it was need of the team. Olympique Lyonnais performance was very bad in this match because they did only 1 goal in this match and one person did goal in this match and he did this goal at 59 minutes of the match. Panichelli was a person who did last goal of the match and made match for his team because before that there was a difference of 1 goal between these two teams but after that the difference of goals was more than that .

That lack of capacity is what I have mentioned for the longest of time, the attempt by Lens has pushed many into that ecstasy of expectations and high hopes that they are about to experience something really different this season than they have previous seasonMs but the. Consistency and the ability to sustain for the longest of time happens to be the most of the challenge these teams have when compared to PSG and it will take them some time to get over that.

Seeing Lens win the title would be a thing of joy, if this happens then it would have ushered in not only a new champions in the French league but also a new era in French football. The consistent dominance of PSG over the Ligue1 and several years of dominance by olympique Lyonnais make the ligue1 seem like a joke in the eyes of many football lovers and that's why a lot of people are of the belief that the league shouldn't be amongst the top rated leagues in Europe.
But if we have different winners emerging severally then it will give credence to the league, perhaps the reason why many wants Lens to win the title.

Lens could still in theory win the league, the gap is very close and PSG lost just recently so that means they are capable of losing, not every week we are going to see PSG end up with a win, and in that week if Lens is still close they could maybe get ahead. I have not checked but did they played against each other yet on the second half of the season?

If Lens could win against PSG that could change everything, even the narrative could change. Sad thing is that the higher chance is that Lens will end up losing and will not win the league title, that is more probable at this moment but the fact that they are at least here and trying is great and I support them a lot. I hope that some miracle happens and they get the title.

Perhaps most people see this as euphoria because the quality of the players Lens has isn't much better than PSG's, so people judge this based on short-term results. I also hoped Lens could maintain their consistency so they could challenge PSG for the title, but seeing them lose momentum and win against Monaco diminished those hopes. They should have won this match as Monaco themselves haven't been much better than them this season. Now, PSG are back at the top of the table, just two points behind Lens and I'm sure PSG will be much more focused on consistent performance going forward.

There is euphoria because we haven't seen a team like Lens win against a giant like Paris Saint-Germain for a long time. It's not a given, i clearly don't mean winning against them directly but also having the chance to play and continue to move forward and fight to win the championship.

With the way everything is going these days in football, I won't be surprised at all if PSG were to actually lose out the league to lens because football is a game of wonders and it's filled with so many surprises and lens themselves are actually not a small team because they have maintained the focus and playing strength till this time and I won't be surprised if they can meet up with their performance because PSG themselves aren't doing so well and they seem to be a lot of division in that team and when a team is divided so goes their strength.

Especially in Ligue 1, the difference in squad quality is really obvious. We all know that PSG is one of the richest clubs, with a super high quality squad that makes them look like an almost unbeatable giant. So I totally agree with your statement because, in reality, no other team has the same level of quality as PSG. Even if other teams look very strong at the beginning or middle of the season, in the end PSG still usually finishes as the leader.

That is true, the gap is now 2 points, and everyone can see that Lens normally shouldn't be this close to PSG, at least not this part of the season, sure maybe in the first ten games something like this could happen but after a while it became a very good success story for them even if they fail to win the league.

Reality is that Lens will not win the league and the hopes that maybe they could is something every other team wants because they do not want PSG to keep winning every year.

I don't think is possible for Lens to have the same chances as PSG, they are two clearly different and structurally different teams, PSG is much stronger and more organised because it still comes from last season which was incredible and also from a club that is willing to do everything to win.

I always say it that PSG has got a way around  the Ligue 1, they have mastered the league so well they can be literally down and find a way to still make it back to the top of the league and eventually win the league, and lens do not look like  they are really going to be able stop PSG this season maybe next but this season I still have not seen that capacity.

This physical and mental exhaustion can be explained by the logical reasons that make top teams not be able to necessary high standards that we could observe in the last seasons. Under the pressure of constantly winning the games, it weighs every player down with a heavy psychological burden with a very busy competition schedule. It has become clear to us that it is very hard to defend a title than to win one since the opponents are now more creative in mastering games. All of us need to wait during this transition chapter.

Yes, I feel the same way, PSG isn't as good as last season, but we can't say they won't be able to repeat their success before the season is truly over, and even though they're not performing at their strongest, at least there are still opportunities and chances to address issues within the team, so the possibility of winning any title remains open. Perhaps what needs more attention is the UCL competition, Luis Enrique needs to quickly restore the team strength from last season so that when they face strong teams, they can still be relied upon. As for Ligue 1, they're only competing with Lens, which is easier.
