This has happened countless times and in the end they still end up winning the league so I don't think they will regret anything later. This PSG team is currently a team I don't recognize, because this was definitely not the team that won the Champions league twice in a row, what exactly changed? I was going to say that Ousmane Dembele's inconsistent appearances has a huge impact on the team but I really don't know what to believe anymore.

Their performance since the preseason games and also at the start of the season has not being impressive but I still believe the quality is still there, it could take some time but PSG would definitely find their form back.

I don't know if it will be too early for me to say that Paris Saint German won't do well this season because judging with their first two games it appears to me they are not serious this season. PSG have done comeback in the league table when they fall some points below but if they fall below by 15 points, it will be difficult for them to recover because they haven't even met the major teams in the league but they have dropped 4 points. If they meet teams like Marseille, Monaco and Lens with this their current performance that means they will lose more points. I'm observing some kind of a pattern with PSG, they don't always play their best players in their league, it's almost like they are saving them up for the champions league which can explain why you will find that the likes of Dembele generally have more efforts on the champions league than ligue 1.
Even last season he appeared in 22 games out of 35 that PSG had in league 1 but appeared in all of their 13 champions league games, chances are that a simple research will turn up similar stats for some of the better players as well.

They are long time rivals, their match is always tough because they are all good teams that will want to be the winner in order to keep their winning record against each others, and for the fact that Luis Enrique was a former Barcelona manager, it will be interesting for him to prove himself to them that he is still a good coach that can defeat their team despite the quality of player they now have in their squad.

Having both PSG and Barcelona as the finalists is a bit too far fetch, as it stands, both teams are not really looking well stable right in these early stages of the season, if the reason is solely because of their old histories rather than the current reality!! Then I would say, by all means, I agree, but if it is based on their current form, I will disagree with that estimation of the 2 teams being serious favorites to win the entire tournament.
