The point gap in the French league is narrowing. While Paris Saint-Germain won, Monaco drew. We all expect Paris Saint-Germain to win the league in the long run anyway. Monaco has started dropping points if they lose a few more, Paris Saint-Germain could reclaim the top spot. Once PSG takes the lead, they rarely relinquish it and would likely hold onto it until the end of the season. The players have started the season strongly following the international break. Now, the Champions League matches are next target.

PSG started with a poor performance at the beginning of last season but they reclaimed the league from Lens and ended up winning their domestic title, seeing them pulling the same stut this season doesn't make me believe PSG dominance will be stopped by any team this season because they will reclaim the league from whichever team that's at the top of the table and win it. Monaco is topping PSG with just three points. I don't expect Monaco to remain at the top of the table until French Ligue 1 matchday ten so PSG might even take their rightful position very soon.

I will be very happy if Paris Saint-Germain will not be able to win this trophy, but as it is now I found it difficult to even choose a team among the teams on top because of how dangerous Paris Saint-Germain usually perform. Yes Monaco is stopping the table with 14 points and there are three points away Paris Saint-Germain, this is not a huge gap between this dangerous team and I'm still not convinced that Monaco will be able to continue to lead with Paris Saint-Germain behind.

I don't want Paris Saint-Germain to win this season, they are not the only thing in the French League but they have so many advantage over others and that is why they are able to maintain the top spot, this time around they will fill a lot of pains even though they later win.

PSG started the 2025/26 French League season with a poor performance but you take note managed to reclaim the domestic title from Lens, just as we have seen this season start with a poor performance as the team has already won just three of six matches. It is true that Monaco are only 3 points ahead of PSG but the reigning UCL champions still have 28 more matches to play in this French league.

Even it is conceivable that other teams may not be able to stop the dominance of this experienced team. In my view PSG performed high against Le Mans but it will be challenging for them to face Manchester City in Champions League as this Premier League team is in great form this season and this team has managed to win all the matches

It is too early to conclude that Monaco will win the league this season because it is very easy for PSG to get to the top of the league. Monaco is doing well in their games, which I commend them for, but if in four months' time they are still able to be at the top, then I will know they really mean business to win the league. As for now, I will just watch to see if they can maintain their performance.

When it comes to Ligue 1, it’s not just about Enrique, because PSG were dominating the league long before he arrived, under several different managers. Enrique’s real achievement at PSG is that he managed to win the Champions League with them twice in a row.

As for Ligue 1, I still don’t think PSG have a serious rival. Monaco’s strong start doesn’t necessarily mean they’ll be able to maintain that level of consistency throughout the entire season. I’m confident that in just a few more rounds, PSG will be back at the top of the table and things will return to the usual order.

For those of you who are panicking of PSG not performing in the league and using that form to judge them in the champions League, I hope you are seeing what happening in the champions League. PSG is a totally different team in that competition and Luis Enrique made sure of that, even if PSG is not doing well in the league as of now, PSG will still pick up and win the league, there's no competition or should I say there's no serious competition in the league, so the main focus is in the champions League.

I don't know why some set of people are rushing to conclusions at this early stage of the season, saying that Monaco will win the league title, despite knowing what PSG is capable of.We have seen it many times in Ligue1,PSG may not start well from the beginning, but they will still catch up and win the league because other teams are not always consistent due to their lack of experience in handling the pressure. Most teams always start well but hardly end well.

So, for now, anyone who is already concluding that Monaco will win the league title may likely be deceiving themselves because the season has not gone far enough to say that the points gap is too wide for PSG to catch up.Even if we get towards the end of the season and Monaco or another team is still leading by just a few points, I will still choose PSG as my favourite team to win the league title.In fact, to understand how good PSG is, we all saw how they played against Manchester City today, a team topping the Premier League table, despite our claims that PSG are not in their best form.
